You won't be able to recruit guards or guard cavalry. Instead, you'll get Republican Guards. You'll also get conscripts. If you're playing darthmod, the conscripts aren't all that bad.

No not actually. But if you built the others before changing the government they become Line Infantry Units with high morale and double the usuall numbers, (i.e. 80 men become 160 men) after you change government types. Or that is how it worked pre v1.5.

Also when they change they are damaged units. They get the numbers when you repair them.

Republican Guards are quite vulnerable once the US researches the F-15E and targetting pod techs . . . ;)

Yes, republican gourds wish for an elected government, why regular gourds are simple vegetables.

    Or are they?

Cool store, bro! I want some ham.
    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

I am not so hopeful. We'd have heard about it long before now.Plus, I would probably have had to pay for a computer upgrade.
