So you are admitting you are an expansionist evil empire?![]()

To France you are missing the point. Brinkmanship is all well and good, but only when you have the muscle to back it upwhich You don't have even in the slightest. You alienated myself and most of the northern alliance through your treatment of Saxony, who like it or not owns most of south Germany along with the Netherlands. Bohemies former claims matters little.
I have only reacted in this game, never acted on my own. I do not JUST want land, but when I see a situation where by not acting I am going to lose both influence and power then I am going to do something about it. You tipped my hand by getting the whole world to declare war on you.I have not hastened my doom in the slightest, because I will not be making the same mistake you did, angering a bunch of other nations so badly they all declare war on you, and then afterwards not even trying to find any allies to help you in the war.
The problem is you are seeing this as history trying to repeat itself, something that after the first round I threw away as a logical way to play the game. When you have the swiss conquering a ton of land in one round then you can not expect to be successful by playing as France historically would. Trying to bring historical claims into the game was foolish and lost you Saxony as a possible ally.
You took an ally, the Swiss, who had bought the Spanish area in France and was willing to hand it over as a show of good faith, and you invaded them.
This has already shown itself to not be the thirty year war, and I am not going to get bogged down and lose simply because of that.![]()
This game can not at all show the intricacies of European politics at the time, I mean minor nations are there to take with no repercussions! Because of that you can not expect real world politics to win the day here.
Also, I was quite afraid YOU would become the rising power. Savoy gave its lands to you and then you thought to attack switzerland? gah! Am I supposed to let you gain such large amounts of land when you are so near by? Spain may be tough, but we are all pretty much united in saying if he does anything funny then we will curb stomp him into last century. He is on thin ice and he knows it. THat is why he is allowed such freedom.
I have done my best to RP this game, but this game has gone in a very different direction, and where I had originally thought to stay out of war and play a diplomat, I can see that will end in my own destruction. You forced my hand, just to reiterate. I am reacting to a opportunity that I have to seize. Hey, If you want to negotiate we could come to a deal, but you are in some dire straits, I have a LOT of leverage.
Good luck though, I will be impressed if you can come out of this alive.
You have forgotten the Northern Alliance France, which I am pretty sure would help me and the Netherlands kick Spain to the Curb.
But that is about all I have to say.
(BTW, No Offense Spain, I am pretty sure you already know this anyway. Also No Offense to Ibn, this game is already insanely complicated. No game could EVER come close to showing European Politics as it was back then, by my eyes you have done a Darn good Job. )
