Weren't we supposed to have a lynching already?
Weren't we supposed to have a lynching already?
By "Tratorix's logic" I meant that he pointed out that Double A made an unnecessary post asking if I was Mg, even though it was clear that Tratorix was Mg. Unnecessary posts are often a sign of someone being scummy, because they're attempting to shift the focus away from themselves.
And at least I explained my vote. Atheotes went on "gut feeling," which is better than nothing, but johnhughthom's vote is completely without any explanation.
Tratorix, I voted for you half in jest, but your lack of a defense is why I didn't unvote.
Yes Zain, the deadline has passed and I'll probably get lynched and turn into rust. The mafia are probably gonna win this one if people don't bother listening to your fellow townies' defenses...why is everyone afraid to admit their roles? If I really were scum, would I have anything to gain by discovering your roles? Did AVSM make everyone but Tratorix and myself members of the mafia?
Strikeout!
alright... i am sodium...
You're right. Gah, this is not a good prelude to my next small game, is it? Ah well.
Iskander was disposed of properly. He was just thrown into a box of iron and left there. The professor went home with some women of ill repute, for his discoveries were circulating the world.
Iskander was lynched. He was a TOWNIE. The professor would not get his kicks.
Players
Iskander 3.1
johnhughthom
atheotes
Double A
Zain
Beskar

But while we are on the subject, how should I have defended myself from votes with no explanation? Iskander's probably a decent lynch for today, but everyone needs to start talking more.
Thanks for not letting me rust too quickly, host.
Atheotes=town
I'm gonna stay active here, being a chem nerd and all. (Back at U of Wisconsin I was in the co-ed professional chemistry frat, AXE (by E I mean sigma). Let's here those roles, folks!
Strikeout!
though i am glad that you figured out....i wish you had waited until after the night phase to post that... right now it has painted a target on my back![]()

I said vote Double A! People need to listen better...
What's your reasoning? Saying "lynch Double A because I said so" is akin to painting "I am mafia, shhhhhh!" on your shirt.
The professor returned in the morning to find a strange sight. There was only one element left, uranium just sitting there and leering at him. Vaguely digusted, he sidestepped into the video room and ran the security footage. johnhughthom continued to stare straight ahead.
On the video, he saw gallium melt into a puddle, and sodium explode violently, revealing some strangely sentient water, Double A. Disastrous!
He rushed outside! Uranium was still there. He rushed over and tried to wake him up. It was no use. johnhughthom was an exceptionally old piece of uranium, and had decomposed to another, stabler isotope.
Scrambling to prepare a new experiment, he animated his hand, apparently doing nothing. He took a pencil and tried the same thing, but kept missing. The press were starting to knock on the door, he needed something!
Suddenly, the lights went out. Something shortcircuited the lab. The breaker box was soaked in water. To make matters worse, his hair was on fire.
The reporters came in to find a screaming man with flames on his head knocking over glasses, with no sentient being making smarmy comments.
Zain and Double A smirked in their corners, and went on to destory the world
TOTAL SERIAL KILLER VICTORY
You guys had an exceptionally unlucky game, I'll tell you that. I'll post the roles later.

Here is my role for those too impatient to wait:

And I knew you were water. No one else voted for you so I stayed pretty much in the clear all game.![]()
huh? we had 2 mafia![]()
We were independent serial killers with set goals. I had to kill 2 and he had to kill 2. Uranium was just... there.
What our roles had us do was investigate players during the night, and if we could kill them we could the next night.
Aha, so reavealing wasn't that great of a strategy. But at least I was correct about water being one of the enemies.
Great set-up, AVSM.
Strikeout!
Yeah, I figured out Zain was heat and asked AVSM if I could PM him to bug him about it N1.
Then on N2 I found out I could kill atheotes. And when you got bandwagoned I was all like "HOLY CRAP! I might actually win as the mafia!"
How did you figure it out?
Here are the roles

Once again, the town was exceptionally unlucky. With a No Lynch option, it might have gone a bit better. The idea was, one of the mafia would be lynched after unwittingly killing someone who would reveal them. The other would then be forced to lie low and investigate, giving the town some extra time. Uranium was a joker role that I thought would make for a silly end to a mini-mafia game. The idea being that it would go unnoticed until the end, at which point the professor would suddenly die of radiation sickness and give them the victory.
Of course, things went differently. The mafia both investigate first thing, so I decided to not tell them about the revealing townies. Then the lynches went very badly, sealing their fate. If I ever do another game like this, I'll have to keep no lynch as an option, maybe limit the mafia's investigations (Although that wouldn't have helped in this case), and perhaps make it a small game. But I don't want to give up the split personality plan...

So the new kills were about they were actually failed kills then?
Also, having kill roles in mini-mafia is overpowered, especially two. :gasp:

Right, but I expected that they would at least waste some time finding people who they couldn't really kill. Not so in this game. Double A found Zain on the first night, got his first victim on the second night, and killed him on the third.
Like I said, the town had some incredibly bad luck.

No, we couldn't kill people unless they were 2 of the ones we had to. We investigated for our targets and then on the next night we could kill them if they weren't lynched. So in effect it limited our kills. Our efforts were completely separate, and it is pure coincidence that one of our targets were killed by lynch and we found the other the night before. If Iskander hadn't been lynched Zain would have enjoyed a solo victory I believe.
Yeah, that is sort of flawed. When I did a game with two mafia with missons, they had to kill eachother as part of the mission. But the mafia were naughty and tried to work together, so he was shot in the head.
