    I am playing with the Takeda, and I got Shingen to 95-0 before the campaign ended. So I was wondering...Is there a rank 8, or 9 or, god forbid, 10. The general would have to be what, 128-0, 256-0, and 512-0 to get that right? So does it even exist? I mean, who can possibly play 128+ battles to get there. I got Shingen to 95-0 by using him as my only attacking general, everybody else just moved into whatever he vacated.

    Any answers?

    In board clean-up time (after the inevitable "gone Ronin" of late game) have your gen attack the province..then resolve the seige = 2 wins per province. I have gotten Shingen to honor 8...it was one of my first posts-ever (I was so proud ).

    I used Shimazu and he die at the age of 128 years old and his rank was 8. How I did this?! Easy, when he gets quite old (80 years old), keep saving every season. If he dies load up the last save. Now he won't die for a few years. When he dies again load the save up again. I kept on doing this untill he was 128 and had won 100+ battles, and I couldn't be bother any longer, so I let him die (finally ) and his hier took over.

    However, I could never get up to rank 9. Does it really exist ?

    Hehe... Quite a powerful guy. At the age of 100+ still being able to ride a horse and kill enemies.... cool!

    Again copy-pasting my own post from another thread: Quote It's the good old binary sequence, depending on the number of battles won minus the number of battles lost.
    1 = rank 1
    2 = rank 2
    4 = rank 3
    8 = rank 4
    16 = rank 5
    32 = rank 6
    64 = rank 7
    128 = rank 8
    256 would be rank 9, but this is impossible as the counter only goes up to 255. "It's a programming thing."[/QUOTE]

    Rank 8 = +4 honor to all troops under the general.

    Ha ha... You are right Force, it will be kind of funny seeing a 128 years old grandad going to war.

    Teng Fuh:

    Doable "out of the box": legendary spear dojo produced YS from Yamashiro, stacked with Rank 8 Shingen or Ieyasu:

    +2 for the dojo
    +1 for Yamashiro
    +4 for general
    = +7 to honor - as produced.

    Or HC produced in Shinano with L. dojo and L. armoury, L. swordsmith: Cavalry that could charge machine guns or take a bridge crossing to hell itself.

    You would think that they learned from the Y2K bug and allowed more that 8 bits to store the number of wins. Does it roll over to 1 when you hit 257? They probably figured no Taisho would live long enough to hit that type of victory count (which is probably a very safe assumption).
