    Cool Happy Halloween!

Have a good one, Orgahs. I'll be escorting the little lemurs on their trick or treating. I'm expecting that few Orgahs are young enough for that, so have fun at you party, or your costumed shindig, or your wife swap, or whatever you do to celebrate the second-most-pagan holiday.

I hope everyone enjoys their Halloween. My two kids are too old for the door to door candy collecting, but they are going to sleep-over parties with friends. That means a nice quiet evening for the wife & I.

Saw this in my parent's newspaper a few days ago. Honestly made me laugh pretty hard.

First year I get to take my girls trick or treating. Just around the neighborhood or so, I don't think they quite get it yet.

Lousy evening here in Philadelphia. Rain has kept many kids away and kept me from decorating the yard. Lots of Phillies "costumes" tonight. I wonder why?

I remember that time in my life... you are too young to go to any parties, but too old to beg strangers for candy.

You have to re-channel your energies. You dress up but stay home and help hand out candy (and you can always snitch from the candy jar ) If you are really into it, decorate the yard/house/apartment (blacklights are great) - the kids seem to appreciate it. And if you are REALLY into it, you can rig something up to scare the older kids (key word - "older").

My neighbor dressed as a pumpkin headed scarecrow one year and sat next to his front door - he sat the way a stuff dummy sits - and would scare the older kids as they approached the door. It worked sometimes, and didn't other times. But the best was on older teenager, a guy over 6 ft tall. He was scared witless. He whipped around to run away, lost his traction on the grass and dropped straight to the ground. It was hysterical.

Did you get drunk and laid, too?

I just ended up handing out candy, or causing mischief with my friends.
