Default Music industry beaten in court; ISP doesn't have to block Pirate Bay.

While the music industry may have lost their minds, it's nice to know that we can still rely on our courts. We live in a country based on law and order, and it's clearly defined who is responsible for upholding it; the police. Not private companies or lawyers. It's very nice to see that's still the case.

If something illegal takes place, call the police. If Telenor is to block something, then it would have to be by the order of the police.

Oh, and the music industry's representative had a brilliant qoute; "we don't like bringing cases to court, this was a last resort." ...Yeah right.

It's about damn time these industries were kept in check, no matter how small the scale. They're nothing more than relics of earlier days whose only current purpose is to force artists into unfavorable contracts to line their own pockets.

The dying are most violent and foaming right before they take their final breaths. Hopefully the modern music and movie industry is in its final stages as well.

    The movie industry, yes....

Remember 15-20 years ago? How many VHS' did people have? 10? 15? How many DVD's do people have these days? I have several hundred myself, and that's nothing special these days.

And when did people start buying a lot of DVD's? At the exact same time people started sharing movies online.

So as far as I'm concerned, the movie industry can also go themselves.

Without the movie industry movies can't be made, makes the movie industry different.

Movie/TV is different from music, since any four guys in a garage can make music, but not so for films.

Movies have always either be pirated or recorded from Television.

I got far more DVD's then I ever did have VHS and the vast majority of those VHS were recorded from TV, while the DVD's are legally bought.
