    The Germans are even worse
    They dont take any usefull formations, constantly change between spears and swords, die like flies and kill noboy...

    They replace the principes in the EB file, but still they are none.

    hastati samniti simply means a samnite equipped with a hasta. A hasta is simply a barbarian's name for a short spear.

    in a similar vein, both galatikoi kuarothoroi and hypaspistai are inferior to thorakitai. some rebalancing is needed

    Yes a spear the hastati, mostly used by the triarii
    And not by the Hastati... They used a different one

    In singleplayer the German Elites are MUCH better, as they get tons of stat bonuses from temples and wonders, in addition to a +3 in weapons from the blacksmith(only unit that does).
