Legal reason for Nazi's being unplayable is German law, thus it would never be shipped to Germany, for the rest fo the world, it would be the press having a field day.
However, playing a bloodthristy Russian is perfectly acceptable.

I have trouble playing the super-evil guy in RPGs. I just get these pangs of emotion and experience mild depression afterwards.
I'd have no problem with a German campaign in a shooter though. Let us play the Naziest Nazi Murderer of all time for all I care, as long as the story is passable and the mechanics are good (I could see "Play as the bad guys!" being used as a gimmick to distract from bland and uninspired gameplay).
I love being evil in games... wholesale slaughter is great (although I will alter my behaviour based on punishments and rewards) I do get the occasional feeling of guilt though, although im generally good to my team (AI dies to easily, I must save them!)
In real life I don't even kill insects (unless they are being really annoying)
In remembrance of our great Admin Tosa Inu, A tireless worker with the patience of a saint. As long as I live I will not forget you. Thank you for everything!
I generally play good characters, because I find the game to be more difficult on a moral level; I would REALLY like to kill this person, but maybe I can persuade them to think otherwise. Failing that, I don't feel to bad if they attack me. Dragon Age I have to confess, has put me in some binds though, and it's hard not feeling prejudiced against entire races or classes.![]()
