270 BC........
It has been 5 years since King Phyrrus's death at the hands of the Spartans......

Rome, was now the most powerful state in Italy. with it's Democratic form of Goverment, makes it peacefull.

Capture of Segesta

The Epiroets are not weak, even there Basileus, Phyrrus, is dead- Epirus will still prevail. There key-Region in Italy, Tarentum , has surrendered to Rome, knowing that Pyrrhus's death. Rome now controled the entire Italian Peninsulae. all Tribes, and peoples have been united under one Flag, the Romani. There is only one thing that can destroy Rome, that is Rome itself.Rome can be torn-apart by itself or buy it's Allies such as Capua, Ancona, and corruption.The Ligurians and Illyrians are the only factor that stop the advance of the Romani. The Ligurians has the city of Segesta, while the Illyrians has Arminium. The Senate has ordered the Julii Caesaris to take Segesta

they attacked it. The Ligurians had created some walls around Segesta.The Ligurians were thrilled when they saw the Roman Legions in front of their doors.

The Romans were under the General Lucius Julius Caesar of the Julii Caesaris.
Lucius Julius Caesar was the first son of Flavius Julius Caesar, Grandson of Gaius Julius Caesar , Conqueror of Northern Italy. he attacked the city using 3 rams. 1 for taking down the door, 2 for taking down the walls.The ill-disciplined Ligurians were overwhelmed by the Disciplined Legions of Rome.

In the end, the Ligurians were crushed. Some of them joined Rome, some were to fight for Liguria and were killed, and some requested help from the Illyrians. The town of Segeata was now Roman.

The Senate Mission has been done. Segesta is now under complete control of Romani..... Italy is now Roman!!!!!!!!!

Part2:
Clash at the Ligurian Grasslands

269 BC....
It has been one year since the Romans Captured Segesta. in a year, thousands of people have moved into Segesta. The Governor, Julianus Septimus Severus, has been chosen to rule the new Province of Liguria.
Julianus Septimus Severus

He has been elected as Governor of Liguria in order to supress the rebbeling villages.
Severus has been known as a Great Commander. He also served under the Legions of
Publius Decimus Mus as a Centurion. During the Battle of Asculum, he fought bravely
against King Pyrrhus's Elephants. But he was then wounded by an arrow shot by a Cretan archer
. then he took the Arrow from his Chest then he throwed it back. then he shout "ROMA INVICTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" that made the Phalanxes afraid. His men then pushed through
the flanks of the Epirot army. He made a large number of casualties in the Epirot army
causing the Epirots having a Phyrric Victory.
He then had been promoted as a Senior Centurion and now he serves under the Roman
General Manius Curius Dentatus.

In 275 BC, he Fought at the Battle of Beneventum, making the Epirots to retreat back
to Tarentum. In 272 BC, Pyrrhus attacked Sparta and was killed in Action. He then
was promoted as a full general. In 270 BC , when Segesta was captured, he was
appointed governor of Liguria for 5 years.

And now, 269BC he has Suppresed a large number
of rebbelous towns. The Ligurians had agreed that they would ask help from the Illyrians.
The Illyrians declined their request, due to fearing fighting on 2 fronts.

The Illyrians were at
war with the Getai, a tribe in what is now called Romania.

one day, when he was patrolling, he got a letter from the Scouts that there is a large army
of Ligurian Rebels moving to attack them. Severus then moved to the Grasslands
where the Ligurians had camp. Severus sent a herald to claim their surrender. instead
of Declining or accepting the offer, the Ligurians cruely killed the Herald and sent back
the head of the herald back to Severus's camp. Severus was furious and armed his army
that instance. The Ligurians were camped on the other side of the ridge that the Romans
camped in. the Scouts then spotted the Romans

one of them said:
"HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!, tell the Commander!!!!!!!"
"yes,sir"
"MEN!!!!! HOLD YER POSITIONS!!!!!!"
the Scouts were quickly destroyed by the Legions of Severus.
the Ligurian commander, Quintus Galerius then without thinking, attacked the Roman
Legions. Instead using the Normal Formation, the Triarii were placed at the
front to Destroy the Cavalry, when the cavalry routed, the hastati and principes
will move forward and charge the enemy infantry. Quintus Galerius was killed during
the battle. The Romans were victourious. after that battle, the entire Ligurian rebels
surrendered and the fighting at Liguria has stopped. Now the Senatus Populusque
Romanus are targeting the Gallic town of Patavium. Now, the entire Italian Peninsulae
has been taken by Rome, and of course, with it's Allies....................
