I also like the one isolated Hayasdan province.
"You must know, then, that there are two methods of fight, the one by law, the other by force: the first method is that of men, the second of beasts; but as the first method is often insufficient, one must have recourse to the second. It is therefore necessary for a prince to know well how to use both the beast and the man.

If u look carefully, the carthies often ship troops to and from Iberia. It's all done in a single turn tho, so it's hard to spot unless there's a specific FM tagging along. The opposite happens when The Luso (a lot rarer) takes Mastia/Tolosa. They try to grab Carthie island holdings, then (futile attempts at) africa. Similar things happen to the Epiros(Pyrrhos goes back for another go), KH (island hopping) and Ptolemaios (Cyprus).
Yeps, in my campaigns the Greeks especially invade. Though the army in Crete never does anything (what on earth is it doing there in the first place? In my Sweboz campaign I teleported it to Sparta to help defend against a Mac onslaught). But the AS did some sailing in my Roman one, especially in the Persian Gulf, sometimes against Saba, sometimes just for fun cruises it seems as they do nothing with the transported army.
I use 1.1 with RTW Exe.
But, though I see some little naval action, I would love to see more.

I noticed your screenshot. What graphics/textures are you using? What mod/s? It has a nice glossy look to it. I'm more referring to the bottom of the screenshot. The one that shows the buttons, army display, tabs, etc. Mine looks like the following, https://img294.imageshack.us/i/ebitalyfj9.jpg/.
I like the textures/navy mini mods that I'm using, but it doesn't have as nice of a look to the bottom buttons/display as yours does. Is that what regular EB1.2 looks like?

Imo, the following "mod" is almost perfect:

Seems like regular EB 1.2 to me... the mod's rarely change this appearence (user interface UI). Seems to me you have the red (too much red for me- one of the motives I don not play with Rome) colours bause you are palying with the Roma faction. the one you founded beautifull is the greek UI.
