What we perceive to be masculine and feminine toys are merely constructs of our culture to make children adapt to social norms. It's not as if colours can be gender specific, as for a long time, pink was a boy's colour (Due to it's "radical" nature), and blue (the colour of the Virgin Mary) was the colour of girls.
Are Barbies and Action Men really that different? Sorry Comic Book Guy, but they're both dolls, intended to simulate relationships and social situations, independent of whether they have a ponytail or a crew cut. The idea that trace amounts of some chemicals found in the manufacturing of plastics is turning boys into girls (Which is what this article, from the otherwise respectable BBC, implies) as some boys play with "girl's" toys is preposterous, and is bad science and bad journalism.

Indeed, it used to be pink for boys and blue for girls. As blue was seem as virgin mary, an innocent and calm colour.

Looks like me and you are on the same page. It is bad science and bad journalism.
