    I would like to spam my own thread here and advertise to anyone who enjoyed the Resident Evil game, that another game with a similar concept (battle royale) is being hosted by Chaotix right now.     Round One highlights:

    SynTech team:

    Crazed Rabbit heads north, from the southernmost portion of the map.
    Psychonaut searches the area near him and doesn't move much.
    Captain Blackadder goes to the army base and searches around for some weapons. He bumps into Sigurd, Taka, CDF, and MRD. Sigurd detects him as a S.T.A.R.S. agent. If he were able to continue scanning Blackadder, he would have identified him correctly as a SynTech Asset Recovery Service member. Lucky for Blackadder he decides to move out of there instead of sticking around.
    Ironside ends up in the Tank yard.

    Umbrella Team:

    FactionHeir, the Umbrella Assassin, immediately goes after a nearby townsperson, Amsel. For the next several phases FactionHeir relentlessly chases him down, determined to kill him with his starting weapon. Amsel, to his credit, has set orders to run from battle, since he's unarmed right now and not ready to battle to the death. it is these orders which keep him alive.
    Tratorix is inactive, replaced by Greyblades.
    Zain moves and bumps into Craterus, over by the west bank of the river, south.
    Joooray is near the ball park and just searches.

    Serial Killers:

    Khazaar- Moves to the Police Station, and ends up attracting the Zombie horde.
    Captain C- Doesn't move, searches.
    Scottishranger- Moves to the top of the building in R10, in assassination mode.

    Plagas Team:

    Diana Abnoba begins near the falls on the east bank of the river, and heads south. She meets up with Pranas and Leet Eriksson, the latter turns out to be totally inactive. Pranas is a town doctor... here she had the opportunity to convince a town doctor to keep her healed throughout the whole game, but after negotiating a quick alliance, she decided to move on with her mission, while Pranas waited around for Leet Eriksson to move. They split up and never met each other again.
    Meanwhile, YLC heads southeast from the northwest corner of the map. His course is heading towards O-1, the Main gate.
    Seon heads for the Hangar, which he finds quite locked.
    Roadkill immediately chases down Backwards Logic, eventually killing him.

    Townspeople:

    Wishazu (Leon Scott Kennedy) moved closer to the Police Station.
    WilliamWallace (Town Merc) didn't move.
    Tristan de Castelreng (Town Merc) crosses the bridge, heading toward the Army Base.
    Frozen in Ice (Town Merc) chases down Beskar, who ends up in the Water Treatment Plant.

    Beefy187 chases down and tries to form an alliance with King Jan III Sobieski, who never shows up after signing up to the game. (grumble) Poor Beefy ends up isolated because he doesn't have anyone else around at this point but an inactive player he wants to ally with. Amsel of course has his run-in with FactionHeir, and Backwards Logic is being chased by Roadkill. Most people search or attempt to move around a bit. There were plenty of people inactive or needing replacement this early. I replaced some and wogged others.

    At this point there are 4 botanists, 4 doctors, 3 detectives, 3 town defenders, 3 town mercenaries, and a town hero, Leon S. Kennedy. I figure that should be enough to get some teamwork going, and be enough to counter the massive threats to the town.

    However, King Jan (Town Defender) is inactive and gets replaced. Karo and rhawn (Town Detectives) both end up going inactive or needing replacement. Ephrum (Town Doctor) goes inactive. Thermal Mercury (Town Doctor) ends up wandering around the northeast part of the map, which keeps him safe but doesn't help many others. Pinman (Town Botanist) went inactive. WilliamWallace (Town Mercenary) goes inactive quickly and gets wogged. Tristan de Castelreng ends up in the southeast portion of the map where he gets ambushed a couple times and goes inactive, then dies. Then there are a half-dozen other regular townsfolk who end up going inactive. Such a shame, really. Fortunately I anticipated such problems and that's why there are multiple redundant pro-town power roles and why there were so many basic townies running around. Surely even after the inevitable horde of inactive townsfolk, there would be enough of the town remaining to fight the good fight.

    Zombie Horde:

    Moves to the center of the map, roaming randomly around the most sensitive and crucial areas. The idea is that the zombies are trying to defend the Subway Station on Main Street, as well as the City Hall and the Police Station, which are the main targets for the townsfolk to get to.

    Richard Bauer (El Gigante) Ends up chasing down the largest group of people. Right now, that's the group centered in the Army Base, as you can see. We can't have a large townie group roaming around Dark Falls unopposed. They might hurt themselves...


    Deaths this round:

    None.

    Phase One Write-up:

    The Metal Crate: Refers to El Gigante being placed in the center of town, and the clues that Richard Bauer wrote being scattered everywhere by the wind.

    The man and the metal box: Refers to Amsel locating a gun but being attacked by FactionHeir, then running away.

    The group of people: Refers to the 6 or more people located in a cluster over by the Army base.

    The Plague Demons: One of them was chasing down Backwards Logic, but they were all searching for the groom.

    At this point I didn't want to reveal anyone's name or even a description of their character, and that led to a rather bland and uninteresting write-up. From here on, I tried to think of ways to make it more interesting.









    Host Commentary:

    Nothing much to say, but let me go over why I set the game board up the way I did:

    Most of the action in the game will revolve around main street, and specifically, the main street subway station and the bridge connecting the two sections of the playing area.

    Because the rare items and weapons in the Bio-lab can be a game-changer, the Bio-lab is locked off and the entrance is located farthest from every character except for the serial killers, El Gigante, and the zombies. The center of the game board is the most important. All the players went around the sides except for the lowly serial killers, who needed all the help they could get.

    The Plague queen starts off separated from her group, and farthest away from the Groom as possible, but they are in contact with each other, like mafia.
    The Umbrella group starts off scattered, but they are in contact with each other, like mafia.
    The SynTech group starts off scattered, but they are in contact with each other, like mafia.
    The zombies move randomly, El Gigante chases down the largest cluster of townies.
    The town power roles start off scattered.
    The other locations of all the other townies are randomized. So in case you're wondering Backwards Logic, the evil random gods placed you next to a Plague demon.

    EVERYONE starts off at least two tiles away from every other person. That way you cannot be identified right away, and you cannot be killed immediately.
    EVERYONE is able to run in the opposite direction from EVERY threat. If you didn't move far enough away, that's bad luck.
    EVERYONE is within a reasonable distance from RARE ITEMS
    EVERYONE is within a reasonable distance from allies or townies. No one is placed in an unwinnable position.

    All the powerful roles have to work hard to find each other. Basic townies had no problems finding each other.
    I continued replacing the inactives for as long as I could, with every replacement player I could find.

    The game-winning locations were:

    1. The southern bridge (out)
    You needed a grappling hook to cross.

    2. The eastern wall (minefield)
    You needed a metal detector to exit... and avoid the mines.

    3. The Subway station at the center of town (collapsed)
    You needed a pickaxe and the three gas masks located in the southern subway line. Most people chose not to explore the southern subway line, but headed north to the bio-lab.

    4. Dark Falls (mine entrance walled off)
    You could escape with dynamite.

    5. The Arklay Tunnel (collapsed)
    You could escape with a pickaxe.

    6. The Helicopter (locked)
    You needed the hangar key from the bio-lab, holds only 4 people.

    7. The Main gate (guarded by zombie commandos)
    You needed the Tank to escape this way, which required the Tank Key, which was found in the Clock Tower, which required the Clock Tower Key, which was found in City Hall, which required strength or explosives to open.





    Starting items:

    The Plagas team starts with nothing.
    The Umbrella team starts with basic handguns.
    The Syntech team starts with basic handguns.
    The Serial Killers start with deadlier weapons.
    Leon and townie mercs start with weapons.
    Basic townies usually did not start with weapons.
    Some townies started with a knife or really bad handgun.

    Crazed Rabbit heads north, bumps into Backwards Logic and A1_Unit. This was Backwards Logic's best chance for escape from the Plague Demon creature.
    Psychonaut creeps west and searches again.
    Captain Blackadder searches around the army base, where the El Gigante arrives! Fortunately he is out of range.
    Ironside meets up with Captain Blackadder. The SynTech team now has two people moving together. This is a great advantage. They moved directly to each other immediately.... almost got caught by Sigurd though.

    Umbrella Team:

    FactionHeir continues hunting down Amsel, relentlessly.
    Greyblades runs into Ephrum, who soon goes inactive.
    Zain fights Craterus, and we have more epic player-on-player battles!
    Joooray ends up near the hospital, and meets Stildawn.

    Serial Killers:

    Khazaar- Ends up being attacked at the Police Station by zombies!
    Captain C- Chases down and tries to attack Thermal Mercury, who survives and runs away!
    Scottishranger- Ends up near the police station and watches Khazaar finish off some zombies.

    Plagas Team:

    Diana Abnoba ends up waiting around and cooperating with the Doctor, Pranas. But Leet Eriksson is inactive, and she doesn't want to wait around for him.
    Meanwhile, YLC ends up on the same tile as Rhawn and Centurion1. However, he's not in an aggressive mode and ignores them. They sneak away... CLOSE CALL, GUYS!!!
    Seon ends up next to Yaseikhaan..... mmmm.... fresh prey.
    Roadkill puts in orders to engage Backwards Logic. Oh dear! He attacks BL who runs and runs away.

    Townspeople:

    Wishazu (Leon Scott Kennedy) attempts to enter into the police station, but it is locked. He's gotta try breaking in using his strength.
    WilliamWallace (Town Merc) moves east, bumps into Backwards Logic, who just escaped from Roadkill the plague demon. Maybe now they can triumph?
    Tristan de Castelreng (Town Merc) moves to the tank yard, near Yaseikhaan and Seon. Good thing Seon is in stealth mode!
    Frozen in Ice (Town Merc) allies with Beskar, Jolt, finds Rob_the_Celt.


    Beefy187 stands around waiting for King Jan to wake up.... poor fella. I eventually replace King Jan with TheFlax, who proves much more lively.

    Diamondeye has decided that even though he is a townie, he wants to stalk and kill CCRunner. How nice of him.



    Zombie Horde:

    Ends up bumping into Khazaar and they get hacked apart by his Pickaxe. (Yes, this pickaxe was eventually used by Renata, Amsel, and atheotes to ESCAPE FROM DARK FALLS.... I gave him the pickaxe as a weapon for a reason.)

    Richard Bauer (El Gigante) Ends up very close to the people in the Army Base, but not close enough for EPIC PWNAGE.

    Phase Two Write-up:

    He ran as fast as he could and attempted to hide in a shopping mall. Heart is pounding, gripping his weapon tightly, he hoped he wasn't spotted. He moved past the shattered glass window and dashed down the aisles of a supermarket. He ducked into the cooler where all the milk had been spilled and spoiled. The stench was overpowering, but he figured that might actually keep his attacker away and mask his own perspiration, just in case this thing isn't human.

    But he was followed... relentlessly... by his attacker. Who are they? Why are they trying to kill him so ruthlessly? The dark figure entered the market, checking left and right with her weapon held high. It was that woman again... The man's hands shake as he attempted to aim at her. He tried to remain hidden, maybe she would go away... but it was not to be. She fired blindly into the cooler with her Custom Blacktail, hitting one of the gallon milk jugs, splattering sour milk and blood everywhere. He looked at his arm, and there was a bullet wound. The next bullet went streaking towards his head....

    He didn't remember exactly how he made it out of there, but he clutched his bleeding head and arm, trying to stop the blood loss. He scampered away as fast as he could, hoping she wouldn't follow him again. Somehow, he didn't think this was over in the slightest....
    This was Amsel being attacked by FactionHeir, and running away. He took some damage from the bullet wound, but survived and escaped.

    She moved toward the tower, searching for things. She tried to get inside, but it is extremely well-barricaded. From above, there was the sound of a boot scraping against concrete... she looked up just in time to see a boot kicking her in the face. She's knocked to the ground, only to be met by a dark figure slashing at her throat with a knife. She tried to block the blow, but she was struck in the arm. She rolled out of the way, and tried to flee, but she was stabbed in the back...

    She never got a good look at her attacker, but she ran as far away from the battle as she could, clutching her wounded arm.
    This was CCRunner being attacked by Diamondeye. He managed to escape, but he took some damage, I think. Those knives aren't useless in close-quarters combat, you know.

    She knew it was approaching her for the last few minutes, but she couldn't outrun it. The thing was massive, and moving rather swiftly, despite all appearances. The creature stood at least 7 feet tall and was massively powerful. It had several different heads, each one oozing with slime and pus, writhing in agony. She was filled with an overwhelming sense of panic. Its numerous tentacles reached out for her... trying desperately to strangle her, and whip her... the tentacles were covered in a strange yellow substance which stung quite horribly upon contact. She did her best to dodge the slimy things, and she was doing quite well when suddenly, one of them whipped her in the face. She was stunned at first, but she slipped underneath the thing's legs and ran as fast as she could. By the time she got to where she was going, her entire face went numb and she could hardly see. She was in rough shape, but she had outrun the creature, and it was no longer within visual range.
    Backwards Logic being engaged by the Borg the Plague Demon, Roadkill.

    It was all quiet on the street. The building stood tall, with many dozens of boarded up windows. There, a man was searching for something. It seems as though he's found it.

    But then the glass shattered behind him... out of nowhere, a horde of infected people began swarming into the building, gasping, crawling, and reaching for the man... drooling all over the office floor, whispering something about devouring his flesh. The man would simply not go down like that, and he swung his pickaxe, impaling the first creature through the skull, getting it caught in the dying corpse. Another one grabbed him from behind, and was about to bite him through the neck... it looked like this was the end. But he shrugged his shoulder and squirmed out of the grip of the creature... he kicked the first zombie and withdrew his pickaxe, and swung it as hard as he could....
    Khazaar gets in some badassery of his own, killing Zombies with his pickaxe of destiny.

    He attempted to cross the bridge and make friends with whoever he found. He looked around, but saw only the cold emptiness of the night. Then he noticed someone approaching, so he waved a friendly "hello", only to feel the cold steel of a wakizashi blade slashing his chest open. He dodged the next swing, and reached for an item he had been carrying with him... a manhole cover. He blocked another blow, and smashed his attacker in the face with it, knocking him down. The attacker slashed wildly at him, and there was nothing he could do but attempt to get the heck out of there! He ran as fast as his legs could carry him....
    Captain C (Fang) chases down Thermal Mercury (town doctor), who manages to defend himself with a manhole cover he found, then escapes. Not bad!

    He watched the man rummaging around, looking for more useful items. He raised his Beretta and fired. The other man jumped out of the way as the first shot fired, and it impacted him in his body armor... the blow was glancing, but it still tore into his side and caused a surface wound. He got to his feet just as the other man readied another shot... hitting him in the shoulder. Another glancing blow... He retaliated by smashing his attacker in the face with your iron bar, knocking him silly. He smashed the man with it again, causing a dislocated jaw. They both have had enough of this fight, and with bloody wounds and busted bones, they scamper off in different directions.
    Craterus battles Zain, but they both choose to run away. Good moves.






    Host Commentary:


    The action is starting to heat up. Some people have been attacked twice already, but everyone is still alive, except for the NPC zombies. I designed the game such that if you ran away, you probably would survive, unless the first hit was fatal.

    Poor Amsel and Backwards Logic are getting the brunt of it, but townie power roles like doctors and defenders are being attacked, and some townies are trying to kill each other.

    Some alliances are formed, and people are generally just searching and sharing information. A lot of people are in stealth mode still, as it hasn't been universally decided that stealth mode sucks yet. Soon people realize they need to search, however, so that's risky. Risk not, gain not.

    Round Three highlights:

    SynTech team:

    Crazed Rabbit is at the hospital, and bumps into Factionheir and Amsel and Stuck in Pi.
    Psychonaut searches thoroughly, locating the Bio-Lab Gate Key in the cemetery this round. This gives the SynTech team an extreme advantage in reaching the Bio-lab first.
    Captain Blackadder and Ironside head west, reaching the Black River bridge this phase. Blackadder searches, Ironside is in vigilante mode.

    Umbrella Team:

    FactionHeir continues hunting down Amsel, but now he bumps into the CIA agent Crazed Rabbit, leading the two mafia team Assassins to an early conflict. One of the two will succeed in their mission to assassinate the other....
    Greyblades follows Ephrum to the Clock Tower, and is attacked by zombies!
    Zain bumps into the town doctor, Paulus Tertius. However, they don't seem to reveal to each other who they are, and that is a shame for Zain. A missed opportunity to have a doctor healing the entire Umbrella team.... if they could have negotiated an alliance, and gotten all the Umbrella folks together, it would have been a huge advantage.
    Joooray and Stildawn move together, Joooray searches just out of range of the Hospital and the Police Station.

    Serial Killers:

    Khazaar- ends up in N15, right next to the other serial killer, Scottishranger! They are both in stealth mode!
    Captain C- Attacks Paulus Tertius, nearly killing the town doctor!
    Scottishranger- Ends up in N14, right next to the other serial killer, Khazaar! They are both in stealth mode! A missed opportunity for some epic carnage....

    Plagas Team:

    Diana Abnoba begins her long journey across the map, moving south to the Army base. She's still in the grassy area.
    Meanwhile, YLC ends up next to Stildawn, who is in stealth mode. Another close call!
    Seon hides inside a tank and waits for his prey..... Yaseikhaan's search leads him to the tank, and he is nearly killed by the surprise attack! Some lucky combat rolls later, and Khaan barely escapes!
    Roadkill chases down and finally kills Backwards Logic, causing BL to exit the world of the living, the first victim of the game. Backwards Logic, we hardly knew ye. But we will get to know ye as a zombie very soon.... William Wallace is also attacked, and runs away.

    Townspeople:

    Wishazu (Leon Scott Kennedy) attempted to form an alliance with the others near the police station, but they all moved away...
    WilliamWallace (Town Merc) follows Backwards Logic and runs from the Roadkill/Backwards Logic battle after trying to shoot the creature.
    Tristan de Castelreng (Town Merc) stays put in the Tank yard in Stealth mode.
    Frozen in Ice (Town Merc) moves north with his allies, to X21. There's nothing much around, and right about here they got split up (iirc). They didn't seem to trust Rob_the_Celt, so I think they ditched him on purpose.


    Beefy187 allies with TheFlax, who joins the game and replaces King Jan III Sobieski.

    Amsel finally breaks free of FactionHeir, who finds better prey to hunt.

    CCRunner continues trying to break free of Diamondeye.

    Confederate Jeb meets up with Csargo and they travel together.

    In the far southwest, Elite Ferret meets up with Splitpersonality and Sprig, (bb8) and they form an allied group of townies. Shame two of them went inactive, they could have accomplished great things together.

    Karo the detective goes inactive.

    Major Robert Dump voluntarily chooses to join the Zombie horde as an OMEGA TRANSFORMATION, when random.org chose him as the very first to be struck by the Omega virus' effects. Someone for Backwards Logic to talk to....

    Renata finds a Chainsaw!

    Yaseikhaan finds the Golden Lugers!

    Taka finds the Golden Herb!

    Double A finds the RCP90!




    Zombie Horde:

    Centurion1 and Rhawn spot the zombie horde 1 tile south of them. They run from battle. Backwards logic will spawn in the cemetery, and Major Robert Dump joins the horde as an Omega. They are now in communication.

    Richard Bauer (El Gigante) attacks Taka, Double A, and others at the Army base. Finally, some epic carnage!


    Deaths this round:

    Backwards Logic (Annette Burnside, town awareness) is slain by Roadkill (Plague Demon- Panico)



    Phase Three Write-up:


    Mister Harris was checking inside the parking lot for items, and came upon a shiny metal box. How nice! He may have pressed his luck, however.... while searching, he opened up the door of a vehicle and sneaked inside. He was very surprised when the door slammed shut behind him, latching itself. He heard a terrible, low grumbling noise.

    In the shadows, he could spot the creature. And he was trapped inside the vehicle with it! In desperation, he slammed the creature in the face with his fist, and it didn't even flinch. Now's around the time where Harris would be running, so he threw himself at the door to try to open it. It's STUCK!!! Harris was trapped inside the vehicle! The Plague Demon slashed at Harris with its powerful claws, and Harris did all he could to dodge and roll out of the way, but there was only so much space. Harris knew he needed to escape, so he tried to force the door open again, and failed. He was struck in the back, his flesh cleaved apart like butter. In desperation, Harris rammed his head against the door, and it miraculously popped right open. He tried to get out of there, but just when he was almost free, he felt the deadly grip of the creature around his ankle, pulling him back inside... slowly overpowering Mr. Harris. He was trapped in the grip of FEAR.

    He knew that if he were pulled back inside, he would be finished. He struggled with all his might, and failed to break free... he saw the stars slipping away... to be replaced with the cold black interior of the vehicle, soon to be his coffin. With his grip starting to give on the outside of the vehicle, Harris summoned up his last gasp of fight left in him and kicked the creature as hard as he could in the eyes, temporarily stunning the thing. The grip weakened just enough to allow Harris to break free.

    Harris, surviving only because of Luck alone, ran out of there as fast as his legs could carry him, still bleeding from the gaping wound in his back.
    This was Yaseikhaan finding the Golden Lugers, then searching a tank and being attacked by the hidden Plague Demon, Seon (Miedo). Yaseikhaan barely survives, because he's a lucky, lucky man.

    Annette was still being pursued by her attacker. This time she came prepared, armed with a rifle. She steeled herself as the madman came after her. Like a crazed assassin, the maniac ran towards her, seemingly unconcerned that she held a rifle in her hands. No longer willing to wait, she closed her eyes and pulled the trigger...

    The weapon double-fired, and missed the attacker completely. The maniac rolled on the ground toward her, and kicked her hard in the shins while readying the knife. Annette tried to point the weapon down at him, but he gripped the end of the rifle and pointed it away, twisting himself into position to strike her with the knife. She jumped out of the way of the blow and kicked him. He just got up and started swinging. Annette decided that she'd had enough of this guy, and tried to simply run out of there. He swung at her as she fled, but he just missed her and tripped as she was getting away. When he looked up she was half a block away. He just grinned murderously and prepared his next move.
    This was Diamondeye attacking CCRunner again. Somehow, Diamondeye is able to continue winning the battles (lucky dice rolls? better combat? no idea) and CCRunner's rifle even fired twice, which should have killed Diamondeye if only it had hit the insane man. The evil dice strike again!

    Arnold noticed some commotion earlier, but didn't think much of it. As he moved, he was caught unprepared by a sudden attack from the shadows. A murderous assassin wielding a wakizashi sword struck quick, and struck hard. Before he could even react, there were two large slices across his chest, cleaving him down to the bone. Arnold began gushing blood, and doubled over in pain. The blade barely missed his head and he clutched himself in agony, and then he stepped back, just out of range of the weapon.

    His attacker stumbled for a second, giving Arnold the chance to escape, and he took it. He ran off as fast as he could, never turning back to see if this killer was still following him. If he didn't get medical attention soon, he was certain he would die. He never even got a good look at the man. He was very, very lucky to be alive at all.
    Paulus Tertius (Arnold, Town Doctor) is attacked by Captain C (Fang, serial killer) and is nearly slain on the spot. He just barely escapes and runs off to heal himself.

    If Captain C had followed up on this, he would have gotten a kill for sure. A missed opportunity.....

    Marcus knew she was still following him. But this time he was ready. When she appeared and opened fire, he ducked into a drainage ditch and returned fire. She hid behind a vehicle and continued shooting. He was firing back at her with his Broken Butterfly, and kept missing. She shot at him with her Custom Beretta, hitting him several times. The wounds were pretty severe, and Marcus simply couldn't continue... he ducked behind the building and ran as fast as he could. She checked herself for wounds... nothing serious. By now, Marcus was leaving a bloody trail that would be very easy to follow. She ducked back into the shadows.
    Amsel's last gasp, the final fight with Factionheir. This time, he's got a freaking MAGNUM, the Broken Butterfly. Yeah, he found it and now he's going to use it. If he had hit Factionheir, he might have been able to personally defeat one of the deadliest humans in the game. But the dice gods did not favor him this day. He runs away, still bleeding and wounded.... but FactionHeir spots Crazed Rabbit, and Amsel just barely escapes an early death.

    WOOOOT!!! GO AMSEL!!!

    They went looking for weapons, but found trouble instead. A horde of infected human beings came out from behind the building, without any warning, and they attacked! Vance tried to fight them off, while Amelia panicked and hid behind him. The zombies grasped at them, groaning and drooling, and bared their teeth... Vance fired his weapon just as he was being bitten, and ended up shooting at the ground instead. Another one grabbed Amelia from behind... things weren't looking good at all. Vance bashed one of them with his weapon, and pulled the other one off of Amelia, and they both ran for their lives.
    Centurion1 and Rhawn face off against some zombies, and unfortunately don't cause much damage. But they do manage to escape.

    Things just kept getting worse and worse for Ms. Burnside. She had been attacked by the tentacled creature before, ran off, and managed to locate a friend. She was already wounded from the previous encounter, but still managed to keep up. Now, they spotted the fiend chasing them down... and this time there would be no escape.

    Ms. Burnside pleaded for her life, asking her new friend to help her. They fought the creature together, but in one terrifying blow, Annette was struck in the face with a whipping, paralytic tentacle. As she started to pass out, she was struck in the chest, and she felt her heart stop. She never recovered, and lay there motionless while Dave started to PANIC. He aimed at the creature and prepared to fire, when he too was struck by one of the vicious tentacles.

    As he felt the terrible pain and then the numbness in his wound, he knew he had to get out of there, and doubted very much that his weapons would do much of anything to the creature. He ran away like he was covered in boiling acid, screaming in pain and terror.
    Backwards Logic (Annette Burnside) is finally slain by the relentless Roadkill.

    The people of Dark Falls were just doing what they could to survive. They heard the rumbling footsteps approaching, but were totally unprepared for what happened next. The entire side of the nearby building gave way, and the massive creature emerged from the rubble of concrete and steel. It was the vicious, terrifying EL GIGANTE!!!

    The creature picked up a large piece of twisted steel and concrete and heaved it into the center of the crowd. Then he swung his huge fists and pummeled the ground with his massive feet, knocking people to and fro, nearly flattening one of them underfoot. Several people returned fire, but nothing was stopping this creature.Several rifle rounds were fired at El Gigante, but missed. Some handgun bullets and shotgun blasts as well.

    They scattered in all directions, which confused the creature. It could not choose which one of them to chase down. He watched them flee, drool eking out from his open jaw, splattering onto the bloody concrete below him. From his massive height, he could see for some distance... he spotted another jolly gathering of humans, and bared its disgusting teeth with a sick, twisted grin, and began to stomp off in that direction.

    The building nearby collapsed. El Gigante had run straight through it like it was nothing. All that stands there now is a pile of rubble. Elsewhere, broken bones and bloodied wounds needed mending, and pain was felt by many. Would this only be the first of many such attacks?
    El Gigante causes some epic carnage at the Army Base. Finally, people have reason to fear the big guy. He causes some damage, but luckily for everyone, they had set their orders to flee from battle. Only this order prevents people from being crushed underfoot already.... close call.....

    Everything was going wrong for him. He wasn't feeling very well, and he knew that it was the beginning of the end. He started choking, coughing up blood, as he felt his body ache and itch and swell. The virus began to take hold of him, and he blacked out, falling to the ground with a sickening thud. When he woke up, he was no longer the man that people once knew. He was a twisted, psychotic creature, the end product of a viral agent designed to turn people into biological weapons. The Omega-II virus had contaminated everything in Dark Falls, and only now were people beginning to feel its terrible effects.

    When people are facing death, the virus begins to re-animate the tissue, changing dead bodies into zombies. However, the virus affects the living even more powerfully... unless fought off by the body's immune system, the virus will transform living people into powerful super-human creatures known as Omega Transformations. With everyone in Dark Falls contaminated by this viral agent, they needed to be decontaminated and treated as soon as possible. If they failed to escape from Dark Falls in a timely fashion, they would become a permanent resident....

    Soon, others would start to change. There was no stopping it.
    Major Robert Dump decides to go Omega. I warn everyone in the game that this is possible.... adding even more chaos to this bubbling cauldron of evil.






    Host Commentary:

    Roadkill scores the first kill of the game, after not a small amount of trying. Congratulations!

    Amsel manages to escape from the clutches of the murderous FactionHeir, which is impressive. I am certain that he must have been relieved. If those fights had kept up, he would surely have died. Now, to heal his wounds....

    Inactivity is starting to hurt, but the town has plenty of people. I get GeneralHankerchief to replace Major Darling, so there is actually an active Groom. I was hoping Major Darling would join the gameroom with a bang, but he went out with not even a whimper.

    The SynTech team is doing very well. They are working together, and finding necessary items, and proceeding with their mission in professional fashion. Crazed Rabbit even locates his assassination target. So far, so good.

    The Umbrella team is not far behind. They had a chance to work with a doctor here, and were in the process of meeting each other. FactionHeir bumps into Crazed Rabbit, and has his one shot at taking down Alfred Branagh, who is a total badass. Unfortunately, all these two titans have are basic handguns. Factionheir manages to locate some dynamite and some nails, which comes in handy. Good thing he decided to use them as a weapon.

    The Plagas team is making good progress meeting up. YLC is moving south to where Roadkill is, and Diana is moving south to where Seon is. Then they will meet at the hospital.

    The Serial Killers are struggling to make any kills. They also have all abandoned the idea of trying to blend into a group of townies and kill them when it is opportune.... instead they wail away with their starting weapons and make no allies. This was their main strategic mistake.

    The zombie horde is finally under the command of some humans. Perhaps now the zombie horde will be something to fear....

    I am impressed by the behavior of the players. They are searching, hiding, fighting, making allies, and generally moving around the map in a logical fashion. I especially like the communication and team effort expressed by the folks over at the Army Base, who share tons of information and even make plans to search the base in a systematic format, then meet up again. Very nicely done, guys!

    Several players are damaged this phase. The action just gets bloodier and bloodier from here.

    In general, lots of people are finding useful weapons, and items. Some are even finding awesome, rare weapons and items. Good.... the search aspect of the game was not ignored at all, really.

    If you'll note from the map above, you'll see a large gathering at the hospital, the army base, the tank yard, and near the clock tower and cemetery. People are clustering together, which means El Gigante will have more than one target to chase a round from now. There are multiple opportunities for alliances, but many people are in stealth mode.

    For the writeup, I drop the total anonymity of things, because it is much more interesting and more emotionally involved if you actually know something about the people being attacked. You can even piece together bits of evidence and possibly convince people you are certain characters in the writeup. At least the writeup quality gets better from here...

    Well I made the mistake of engaging him because he was next to me rather than pursuing him in stealth assassin mode. By engaging him he survived and moved away while I was left in the starting square and that put enough distance between us that I couldn't find him.

    You got it the other way, ATPG. It was me and RbC who didn't trust Frozen in Ice as he had said he was a mercenary. So we fled from him.

    Whoops! Some things I don't remember very well because I wasn't told the motivations.... I just remember this group was split up, and that was a shame. But, hearing what you say, understandable.

    Sorry for delay regarding more commentary. Will try to get it all done.
