Well, we can do some rough etimates from what we know from the basic rules. Or you just skip to the end to avoid the number crunching and light rambling about dangerous weapons. I guess that's why Pizza mentioned first hit as an important battle moment.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Weapons have 2 stats. Damage/hit and attacks/round. So, a basic assumption is that both stats can be higher than one on better weapons. That makes a 2/2 weapon that can make 4 damage/round. The katana is probably the best melee weapon (not counting possible specials), so that's not an impossible weapon strength.

    For melee weapons:
Speed gives chance for an extra attack. That makes 2/3.
Strength gives extra melee damage. I'm guessing on 2 extra for like 10 strength. 1 feels a bit little and 3 feels a bit too much to be somewhat balanced. That makes 4/3.

So a 10 strength, 10 speed char with the best melee weapon could possibly make 12 damage/round. No idea if that's a correct estimation or if anybody have such a char (would probably be an "Alice" char in that case, inhumanly boosted as combat would be very low otherwise (we haven't been informed if an "Alice" char exist though)), but with better weaponry, damage output is sick.

9 damage/round (3/3) is basically confirmed, unless melee weapons always got 1 attack/round. Then we still have atleast (4/2) as Dragonfly katana>pick axe>tire iron.
I would guess that the best ranged weapons got somewhat simular stats for balance purposes.

Mr. Scott seems to have very high combat (or high luck but it sounds like combat stats) and is probably not your average townie so he might have some extra strength, so a possible +1 damage. We haven't been told if the rounds are summarized or not, so we don't know if he killed all zombies in one round or not, but we can assume that he killed at least most of them in one round, as he only takes damage once by the description. By the sound of it, he's even ambushed.

That means at least 2 health for zombies and probably no more than 7. Most likely in the lower middle, particulary considering the previous pick axe battle, thus 3-4. That means he killed them in two blows and got lucky or were strong enough to kill them in one blow. Probably more than 1 attack/round as well.

Or we can just assume that average zombie=average non-distributed human => 4 in vit and 4 in combat.
So 3-4 vit for zombies are most probable.
I can understand why ATPG is a little bit careful about these general descriptions, as they still contain plenty of information.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
