Does anyone have any questions about Texas? I'd be more than happy to enlighten you.
Thanks for the pin

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
If the US were ever to break up, and the other 49 stayes wanted to secede from Texas, would you be in favour of forcing them to stay in, or would you let them go?
I am asking this, because I occasionaly pick up signals that some European states wish to be relieved of the guidance of the biggest state of their Union too, and I need to know how to deal with such ingratitude.
Edit: thank you mods, for stickying this important thread.![]()

It's like dealing with children. Clearly the children are inferior to you in everyway so patience is key. You need to let them make there own decsions and mistakes.
One day when they are all grown and strong they will thank you for your guidance and stregnth.
Sweets help to. Give Holland a big chocolate.

Hvil i fred HoreToreA man who casts no shadow has no soul.
What's the best movie to take place in Texas? No country for old men? Death proof?
If I would ever travel to Texas but only have limited time, which 3 places do I absolutely have to visit.
And which typical Texan dishes should I try on my journey?

That's for the tourists who know nothing about Texas other than it's big. No Texan actually brags about the size of Texas. Or none that I've ever known.

Yep. Add one more person to the They're-Just-Jealous list. It's okay, I understand. If I was from anywhere other than Texas I would be jealous too. Freud calls what you're doing "Projecting". You do have the option of moving here, you know.

True story, I almost took a job in Austin out of college. One of the major reasons that I didn't take it was because it was in Texas.Just didn't want to live down there. The other job I took was in NC, which is where I wanted to move to all along.
You'd take NC over Texas? wow. Must have to be born into that area to like it, six weeks in Georgia was enough to convince to never go back.
How likely is it that if you live in Texas, that something that you wouldn't have encountered outside of Texas will kill you?
This is all I care about in Texas, apart from BBQ.

And Brokeback Mountain was set in Wyoming...![]()
The Jackelope which is indigineous to Texas has been known to kill unsuspecting tourists.
And honestly, I don't know why this was pinned it doesn't make sense to me either, but I'm having fun.

Is Texas the Bavaria of the US or is it the other way round?
