There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

I'll never get fully used to the existence of Google Earth, the way my great-grandparents never got over electricity entering their lives. It will remain a source of neverending marvel for me forever.

It's unbelievable to think one can walk the streets of Pompeii, of Rome, of Tokyo from one's very home.

Today's kids will grow up thinking it is perfectly normal, but it is isn't. Google Earth has changed my life, my conception of earth.

    That is very cool.

We went to see the Pompeii exhibit at the Melbourne museum when we were in Oz over the summer. Interesting artifacts, but the body castings held emotional power - sadness and goosebump inducing.
