Default I have a theological question

Ok, so me and this guy on Youtube are fighting (you've read too far, you must continue to help my stupid Youtube debate!! You're lured!!!) over his ridiculous belief that the Earth is 5,000 years old.

Now, before anyone says anything, I just want to make it clear this is not a debate, I am simply looking for information.

Now, I know the Earth is older than that. Jesus didn't travel the world putting down dinosaur bones and tar pits, and making cataclysmic events seem to have happened.

But this guy just keeps saying "Oh the bible says so!"

So, I would like to know:

Exactly what verse, chapter does it say that the Earth is 5,000 years old in the bible? I have a copy myself (need it for my Jewish sunday school), so I could look it up once I am told where.

Though I am foreseeing no sentence which states that (though I suppose that it would be 3,000 back when it was written, right?) I'd like to be sure. I know it won't sway my beliefs, but if there is nothing that says that, and he cites the bible, than that makes him the dumbass who loses.

    Thanks guys!

EDIT: And get this, he's not Republican OR Conservative!!! And he called me a liberal....when I had stated that I was Republican....just to show you how stupid this guy is.
