command line problem

After i first edited the game, the problem was that my menu logo's were working, but my in-game symbosl and banners were not changing. I was told that because i used a Pak file i had to use a modswitch.
I set up a shortcut for my command line, but whenevr i click ont he short cut, th egame opens, then clsoes immediatly. Anyone help?
