Tho' I've belted you an' flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

If you're interested in online resources for military history, you can't go wrong with the Marine Corps Historical Division. This link has online .pdf copies of essentially every single official publication of the Marine Corps. The website has extremely detailed histories of all conflicts the USMC has ever taken part in, from the Barbary Coast to current operations in Iraq. You'll be hard pressed to find more detailed or professional military histories anywhere, and they're all free. In particular, their series on the Vietnam War is exceptional.
