I've been playing paintball for 10 years or so, First of all, What are you going to be playing?
(Woodsball, Speedball, Indoor warehouse style?) Because each of them have their own catagory of guns. =x
until we all get guns, at a place with urban walls, and a blow-up course. once we all get some, we'll set some stuff up in the woods right next to us.
the one i just got is great. its fairly accurate at around 10-15 meters (thats just how far we tested it) with iron sights and no modifications. so for a total of like $85, I'm overjoyed with what im ending up with after all the modifications. my buddy is gonna get the $160 dollar M-16 one, which i know is a bad decision. it may be higher quality, but he has no money to modify it now. and hell be dissapointed to find its not full-auto![]()

My oldest nephew plays paintball in a league and he referee's matches also. I bought him a cheap paintball gun when he was around 10, and he really got into it. He just graduated from highschool this past spring and I think his new paintball gun is worth more than his car. Here are some pics from a recent match:

I've played paintball a couple of times, always with the same friends. None of us are even remotely "professional"
A for tips:
I remember shooting one of them in the crotch (accidentally, more or less) from less then 2 metres distance. It's garantued to convince players to actually leave the field after being hit.

i used to play for awhile. sort of grew out of it i guess. we were pretty good i mean we used to play like 6 on 6 and we got so into for a while we had MANUVERS..... it was pretty awesome. i had an old semi auto tippman 98 with a long barrel mod and a paint grenade attachment. and i also had a scope for lang range engagements.......
good i feel so ashamed at getting so into something
if anyone watches Pawn Stars, its a show on History channel about this pawnshop in vegas, and they get all sorts of awesome stuff.
well, i saw a 1650 Blunderbuss sell there for like $300. some paintball guns are more money than a 1650 Blunderbuss. That is a little sad i admit.
anywaay, my buddy is having a paintball party on sunday, so ill get to test my gun out in the field. my red dot sight just came in, so i'm expecting the barrel to be here within a day or 2, and the stock before the end of the week.

I used to be sponsored by Smart Parts,
Really I would recommend the SP-1 Basic for starting players, It is prolly the most durable electronic gun on the market, It has single round, 3 round burst, and slow auto. It comes with a very short barrel, which is pretty nice for urban play. The gun almost never breaks balls with the awesome anti-chop system.
When you decide to upgrade, and spending just a tad bit more than you started, you should think about getting an average electric hopper, N2 Air system, and the basic SP1, All of that would be about 250-300 bucks, which isn't that bad when you consider paintball, but it's a great "Basic" upgrade. It isn't what the new players get, It's cheap, and the SP-1 is highly upgradable Which means you can keep the gun. I still use the SP1, it has a few upgrades, I have the harness for remote air(chord air) and it's fairly nice when you don't have to worry about the tank.
But either way, When you do decide to upgrade, talk to me gain, I can tell you a rather nice set up at a fairly low price, (Compared to paintball standards) lol. Feel free to give me a PM any time

Fragony, that was some funny stuff.

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
sounds nice, though i need a longer barrel; me and my buddies will be playing in the woods behind our houses, and an ATV dirt trail at the woods exit. so long barrel are a necessity.
I'll probably have this one for at least a year or more so i can get a really good feel for the game, and then consider a new gun. but i'll make sure to ask you when it comes to it![]()
