Whacker - if I'm not mistaken, his DVD is fine, it's his drive that's broken.

Unfortunately, you have to have the DVD in the drive when you play, so I'm guessing it may very well be illegal to install a cracked copy. An option you could look into would be making an .iso from the DVD and then mounting that with something (don't remember what Windows uses to mount ISOs). However, the copy protection might break that.

In short - no, and that's why DRM is bad.
