Default Historical units - thread helpful and useful for players and CA

I've started this topic to help CA in doing historically accurate units for N:TW. I've put some characteristical units for different counties below. Please, keep the details (f.e. don't give Hussars long Cuirassiers' shoes like you did in E:TW).Also pay attention to moustaches, haircuts, etc. Each regiment had it's own rules that made it different from the others. Differences should not be in colour of waistcoats, symbols on sleeves and hats but in how dirty and worn-out the uniforms are.
Very important issue is that the uniforms fit it's period. On screens and trailers showing Italian and Egyptian campaign, we can see uniforms from the late period of Napleonic wars. Uniforms from the end of the 18th century to 1807 greatly differed from those from years 1807-1815. Some reforms had place in European armies - soldiers started to wear new style uniforms. For the period of late 18th century-1807 very characteristical were bicorne (some tricorne: Prussia) and gaiters. The jackets were usually long. In the later stage the hats were displaced with shako. Bicorne after 1807 were only worn in guard units, elite cavalary and officers.

    Good ol' Osprey, eh?

Just to point out, the Pavlovsk Grenadiers weren't admitted to the Guard until 1813...so for the majority of that time they'd have just been the Pavlovsk Grenadiers :P

A wonderful page, really. I quite like it, lots of nice pictures and information, although it seems the author's first language isn't English.

You know, you might actually want to give the authors some credit when posting copyrighted material rather than relying on meaningless little watermarks.

I'll understand if you don't, but could you please put the pictures in a spoiler or something? It takes me like 5 minutes to scroll all the way down to the actual discussion.
"You must know, then, that there are two methods of fight, the one by law, the other by force: the first method is that of men, the second of beasts; but as the first method is often insufficient, one must have recourse to the second. It is therefore necessary for a prince to know well how to use both the beast and the man.
