Hello Everyone, and get ready for the next Swords and D20's game! Just a mini mafia this time, But could be crucial to future story elements.Personally I am growing to like this little theme, and I hope it is growing on all of you as well
now without further adieu I give you All Fluffy's Vengeance
(Circa 30 years after Swords and D20's 2)
Nowhere has always been a large kingdom, with land stretching far south to the great desert, and far to the north, to the Steppe plains. But surely one of the most enigmatic areas of the kingdom is The Badlands. An area where the Steppes meets the plains, It has always housed some of the darkest aspects of both man and beast. Nowhere had never given it too much attention, and it enjoyed a high level of autonomy (mostly because Nowhere could find no one Duke willing to deal with the mess). But although this led to many a family setting out for economic and political freedom, just as many have turned back in horror. Liches and necromancers carve out their diabolical fiefs, Just as fast as Clerics and Paladins could cleanse them. Its a viscous cycle of Death, and one that the people of the land know well. And such is our story, one of a family line which had made its name in these tough lands. Its Patriarch was named Iskander, a former prison guard from the prison camps of Anywhere, and he had made his farmstead and family on a fertile plot of land 10 miles from Castle Darkhallow (perhaps settling next to a castle named Darkhallow was not the best Idea? But I digress) The Iskander line had taken in roots quickly, and already Iskanders first Grandson was just learning to hold a trowel.
But Things had grown dark..... A Lich had found its way to Darkhallow, With a death-knight called Fluffy. That had given old Iskander pause, for he could never be sure about the almost godlike cat that he had left buried in that old plot in the prison camp. This must be the same..... And the horrors he might unleash on old Iskander as a undead gave him a chill to the bones.
And Iskander used his greatest Treasure, a small beacon he had bought before heading into the badlands, a beacon that would alert the Church of Pelor (God of Light and healing) that he needed aid. It better work too, the darn things warranty package cost him a arm and a leg! Hopefully with a little divine muscle he could have this Lich forcibly evicted.
And that right there is the opening tidbitsFor those unfamiliar with my previous games, here is a list. It could help figuring out what is going on in the game
