Do you have another save to try with?

    Thanks XSamatan. You're a lifesaver.

I'm using Alex with Lz3's mini mod pack. I'm guessing this makes my save incompatible with your configuration.

I've uploaded another save game just in case.

I'll try your instructions switching factions back and forth. Since I've only had this problem with Pahlava, this should theoretically work.

Edit: Nope, still crashes as the turn comes back around to me. I'll try it on an earlier save.

Edit2: I've tried this on two earlier saves to no avail. I'm sure it is the March of Times, but perhaps something in conjunction with it. The game always crashes after a Roman city turns huge, during or immediately after the Eleutheroi turn.

The only thing I can think of that is out of the norm, is that Saka never got its reforms as gained the requisite cities before them.

    Other bugs in my game.

    1. Conquered provinces are not developing, at least for the Romani. They are "stuck" attempting to repair foreign governments in Taras, Bononia and (all?) other conquered cities. This seems like a very serious bug in an of itself. If I am the only one with this bug, I need to do a new install, as this explains why they weren't developing cities in my Carthage game.

They are riding these cities hard, to the point of revolt. I reduced population in them, but that did not help with the CTD.

    2. The Pahlava reforms seems to have a bug, where you are allowed to build "Reformed Pastoralism" before "Warlords Horse Herds." This means an "advanced government" will not be possible, unless the player knows to build them first, because RP caps the herds and they are needed for the aristocracy for the new government.

    Thanks again.

I think it crushes at the beginning of your turn (which is after the eleutheroi), so it could be linked to your new bodyguards (pahlava gets new bg, right?). I do not have any clue to solve your problem, to be honest, and due to all the changes with your minimods it might be very difficult to find the bug here.

    concerning governements:
the script spawns new gov's for the AI, is it only the Romans who are stuck with that or all factions?

    concerning pahlava reform:
I do not know much about them, but if also the saka reforms did not happen (and this reform is such easy), I would guess you have some missing/corrupt reform triggers in your game

In that case IMHO your game is lost and the better way is to reinstall.

    I'll have to ask it:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
you activated the script, did you?

Thanks for all the help. But you are right and something must really be wrong with my install, since I can't see a bug, where no faction (or at least some factions) can build cities after conquest.

Strange since I saw the Romani do quite well in Gaul.

Yes, my script was active. The only reason Saka did not get their reforms was that I held the lands they needed for it. All other reforms seemed to work properly, even the Pahvala reforms, which do however have the minor bug I pointed out.. I was just trying to figure out what made this game different from an earlier game.

Another bug I noticed, for the sake of thoroughness, is that Arab lands have no recruitable generals with type four governments.

    Thanks again!

I dot not know what changes come from the implementation of this mod-pack, so you can of course ask the creator. A crash related to the Marian Reforms is something strange to me, but since you are just in the early 30', you can install new, I'll guess that is is an individual bug, but that is a guess.

    Have fun with EB,

If the crash is due to a building being finished, there may be too many buildings in that city. What with all the marker buildings spawned by script, this can happen. If you take control of the owning faction and raze all the buildings in that city, does it still happen?

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.
