Too young?

Okay, so...here it is.

There is this girl that I know somewhat well on the military base here, and my buddy has known her for a long time. I'm confident that she'll say yes, because she usually acts in that kinda funny way around me (hard to explain, but you understand right?). However, I'm not sure if she's too young.

See, I'm 14, turning 15 in April. She turned 13 in like September. I held myself back before, because I didn't want to be the 14 year old dating a 12 year old, but if I wait much longer we'll be 2 years apart, and it just won't happen.


So, she's one of the cheerleaders for my Basketball team. Which means I'll see her on Saturday. So, do you guys think she's a little young for me? I'm honestly completely unsure, but I'm thinking this might be one of the last chances I get.

A 2½ year gap means nothing when you're an adult, but at your age I think it might be a bit much. Of course, this is coming from a lemur who lost his innocence to a girl who was 3+ years his senior, so maybe I should just shut the heck up.

As to your question - 1.5 years does not seem like a huge age difference. I do not see where the problem would be.

Yeah... my ex girlfriend was two years older than me... (but we sit at the same class, apparetly because I start schooling at earlier age, and she was no grade in one year...)

A few things:

Are you afraid of what your friends will think --- if so do not date her.
Relationships at your age don't tend to last too long.

Make your decision on your gut instinct. Don't dwell on it either --- lasses come and go. (No pun).

the thing with Lemur and Cute Wolf is that the girls were older, which is more acceptable, at least with the guy i think.

another concern is her parents; they probably wont let her go out with a 14 year old.

after a few calls her little brother picked up and went to give it to her, and she yelled that she didn't want to talk to me. so i stopped calling

Ah that is how they are, women are the sweetest way to die, I love them even when it hurts. You are on the right track so just keep going, there is nothing better for a man than a good woman, it will keep you healthy and sane, we really need them for that.

Hell, right now, I'm kinda aiming for a 14-year old (I'm 17 myself). Keep in mind that the relation, in this case, would be about her. Don't do unnecessary things, you can totally screw up someone's youth with such a thing.

nope. she wouldn't go on a forum like this, though i presume that you were being sarcastic/funny in the last part.

haven't talked to/seen her since. i was previously planning on calling one of the other girls on the team and asking her for one of the other girls' numbers (its simpler than it sounds), but i don't know the person i would call too well, and i would probably word it wrong some way or another.

How old are you? You shouldn't bother with that and just enjoy things how they come. Not going to tell a 14 year old guy he can't be in love with a 12 year old girl. Or a 17 year old with a girl of the age of 14. It is a positive thing you can't start soon enough to be courting the ladies it is a healthy desire. Maybe you are smarter than your peers that can happen, maybe they just can't provide what you need at the time, have a little patience women are wonderful creatures, nuts, not to be understood, but wonderful.

oh, i've always been the guy hanging around and asking out girls. since like.....2nd grade!

i mean, there was no one to play with for 2 years here except a girl down the street, who was a tomboy and i always hung out with (she was sooo hot....i cant imagine 7 years later.....god she must be super hot now...), so i didnt get to hang out with guys much until i was like 9.

this was actually pretty funny looking back at it:



in like 3rd grade (so...i was....7-8) this one kid ran around saying "your dream is to have sex with a fat pig". of course, no one knew wtf "sex" was, so i asked some other kid who said it was having a sleepover naked. which, thinking about it, isn't as far off as i thought.

so anyway, then after a while of him saying that, i yelled in class "No! my dream is to have sex with morgan (insert last name here)!". well, i ended up getting in trouble for it, and the principal came down, but i got let off for the simple reason that i didnt know what the hell i was talking about. then the original kid got in trouble.

not funny then, hilarious now.

its just that i trust you guys (orgahs, not the internet) more than anyone i can ask for advice from. i wouldn't ask my parents, and my friends...i dont even know how they get girlfriends. they are totally not what i would expect girls to be interested in.

Just keep in mind young sir, that if she accepts and somehow by the grace of god you manage to last more than a year, she'll be legally off limits to you until she's 16. If that's the direction your relationship goes, it's user beware until she's 16.
