    Default Windows 7 Noobster-

-asks "Do we have a sidebar in Windows 7 ?". Also wonders if any gadgets are available already, if so, what would you recommend ?

None, sidebar is pointless. Never used it in Vista either.

On another note, if you got a widescreen monitor, put the taskbar down the side.

Hmm, I only just noticed, my RC1 on the laptop has one but the release version on the Pc does not...

I kinda like it to monitor CPU usage etc.

If I can find it on the desktop I'll tell you.

edit: it's actually in the start menu, but they translated it to german, it's called "Minianwendungsgalerie" - "mini program galery", maybe that helps?

There are gadgets you can download from Microsoft -not sure about any 3rd party ones. I never used Vista and dislike random crap on my desktop, much less obscuring my view of other windows so I'm not really one to recommend any gadgets.

I do quite like how you can manipulate windows now, although itunes doesn't seem to play-ball when pushing 2 windows side-by side.
