    Default Territory borders

Hey, its been annoying me for ages but I've never cared enough to post about it before. But, what exactly is up with the territory borders that all exist on the south of greece?

There is sparta, but instead of it running to the southern tip there are 3 other provinces just touching it. Aitolia which is the city of Thermon, Crete with the city of Kydonia and Kilikia which is Tarsos and that is quite a few provinces away.

The only reason I can think of is that it would constitute a land connection and more likely make the AI launch a naval invasion or declare war on the faction that holds Sparta. Or it could just be an error.

    Anyone know/care enough to explain?

It has something to do with mercenaries in that region. :)
    Someone might clarify.

    From the FAQ:
Q: Why is the map funny on the south end of Greece?
A: This is Cape Tainaron, which is only accessible by sea. This was a famous mercenary hub in ancient times, and you can recruit many mercenaries here which would normally be a lot farther off in the three different spots. The weird map is a side effect of our implementation, where we add a spot from three different mercenary pools in this location.

So you just have to sail a general to the tip of Greece and you can recruit lots of mercenaries?
And can you recruit new ones in every area you see there?

Yes, you can recruit new ones in every tile.
If you want a good Macedonian style army that you can't recruit yourself then that is the right place for you!
I use Cape Tainaron when I play as Romans or Carthaginians and try to fight against Seleucids&Co in Asia Minor.

i always use them in my kh or mak campaign they make great buffers and this way you save up soldiers and general population from the over depopulated regions of greece wich can become a big problem in no time have city´s of around 2000 to 6000 population can easily become depopulated expecially fighting against the roman full stacks filled with elites
