    Angry Make children dammit!

So I'm trying to roleplay as Casse, not adopting or marrying anyone into the family. My faction leader, Barae, has two sons. The thing is, they don't get any children. One of the sons has a daughter, but that's it. I don't use them in the field or anything. They've both been governing cities for years. One of the two sons has a -1 fertility trait, but the other doesn't. It would be quite a pain to lose my campaign because of my stupid FM's bedroom problems. (sorry 'bout that one)

So, my question is: Is there any good way to aquire fertility traits/ancillaries for your FM:s? I can cheat if that's possible.

errrr, doesn't it say in Barae's biography that part of his policy was precisely to adopt "charismatic youths" as rulers in his service ???
Ongoing Campaigns: Baktria, Casse, Koinon Hellenon, Pahlava.

    Abandoned/Failed Campaigns: Aedui-Epeiros-Pontos-Saba-Saka Rauka-Sauromatae. (I'll be back though!)

Uhm, it actually does. Had forgotten about that one xD. Anyway, I still want heirs that are of royal blood.

I tried the console command 'give_trait "Mowg ofcatuvellauni" "Fertile" 3'. I didn't get any error message, but Mowg doesn't seem to have the trait in his traits list. :/

Try EBFertile 3 or EbFertile 3. It's a new trait added by the team.

Or... what numbers of provinces that you have? The FM numbers (and child spawning) and province controlled seems to be heavily corellated. If you only get 3 or 4 provinces, that's why Barrae's childrens have a bedroom problem.

    Thanks for the answers :)

I might consider marrying people into the family later but, early in the campaign, I think that your "real" royal bloodline disappears too easily if you do that.

Anyway, I've conquered all of Britain except Ireland and I've only got three family members. Additionally, I'm constantly asked to adopt people - so I don't think that too few provinces is the cause.

    Genava: I'll try EbFertile. Thanks

Nope. I've had them govern cities for pretty much their entire lives.

look, don't be too hard on yourself. its not at all your fault if barae/his sons can't stand at attention.

besides, adoptions and marriages should fix your problem. you shouldn't really be so monarchical when your faction is so small: meritocracy is a FAR better course. once one family consistently produces good men, you can make that family into a monarchical dynasty, though personally I only do that for role-playing (especially with AS).

In my current AS campaign (right now its on hiatus), I started with the ruling family, and 2-4 families. by adopting/promoting/marrying "better men" into my family, I now have 16 families or so, each ruling a particular area as feudal lords-basically imitating Parthian governance:

    the seleukids still rule all.
    vassals:
    the medikoi rule in Africa.
    the persikoi rule in persia
the ioudaikoi rule in Anatolia and the levant.
the baktrioi (bribed) rule in Baktria (duh?)
the babylonikoi rule over the borderlands of Parthia (now under my rule)
the syriakoi (seleukid or otherwise) are spread out through the empire.

oddly, the ioudaikoi don't control Hierosolyma-that's Medikou turf.

    and the list goes on.

My Casse Campaign's far simpler, So long you're a <something> Vi/Di Britannia, you're allowed to lead the 'Great Army' as the heir.

Is Lelouch a plausible name in EB's timeframe?

The number of possible children is limited by the province you posses. Conquer more lands, then you will have more children.
Increasing the fertile by trait should help to increase the number also, but there is still a point, where the chances are going to zero.

Why, boredom should instead increase fertility, just like with an electricity shutdown, people get bored and pregnant
