Ave, EB players!
I'm really enjoying this great mod: thank you.
I play EB with BI, after installing the BI installer in the sub-mod section.
For a shortcut, I just added -mod:eb at the end of the target line of RomeTW-BI.exe (along with -movie_cam, -show_err, etc)
Now, the game runs fine... except for custom battles with Romani.
So I did some searching (hehe :D) and found that I needed Trivial Script (which I did install but had no idea on how to use) to change an option to Multiplayer, if this is correct, and play EB through Trivial Script.
Unfortunately, I have Windows installed in another language, so anything in folders with non-Roman characters were not installed due to an error.
They all occured during the very last part of installation, so I'm guessing it's all related to shortcuts and such (since folders like Start Programs or Desktop are not in English) since I didn't get any shortcuts to play EB nor to run Trivial Script.
(Hence the reason why I made the EB shortcut myself as above)
Now, trying to run Trivial Script directly gives an error, not being able to find some xml file.
And with some more searching, I found that I needed to modify TS shortcut to
Set Target Line as
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EBTrivialScript\EBTrivialScript.exe" -s ebconfig.xml
and set Start in as
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War"
Is this correct?
And here are some more questions:
1) How can I enable movie_cam with Trivial Script? I could have just added -movie_cam with RomeTW-BI.exe but I don't think I can do that with Trivial Script shortcut. And there's no option to turn on movie_cam with TS.
2) Would preferences changes in TS or running the TS itself affect the EB that is played through RomeTW-BI.exe shortcut? (i.e. is preferences.txt under EB folder changed permanently?)
3) Since all the shortcuts provided with the installers are absent, could I get descriptions on what I have to do to create those shortcuts for EB and TS, if what I did were not correct.
Thanks for the answers in advance! :D
