    Well, they can be modded, but people are still figuring out how exactly.

    My Macedonian castle with cannons will shoot ya´all to bits , and after that, the basileus will go to the cathedral to thank Hephaistos (the son of the almighty)....

    Maybe a dumb remark but... why don't you ask CA for that kind of information? Even if their answer contains mostly general information it might prove valuable.

    The "settlement view" feature is not present in M2TW, so cities can be designed as battlegrounds rather than as places where peasants mill about randomly, IIRC. That means trenches, spikes rubble etc.
