Re: What Is Westphalia Supposed to Be?
So what I am thinking, since the ruler of Westphalia in the game is Joseph Clemens I (who as elector of Cologne with France and Bavaria), Westphalia should break its alliance with Wuttemburg and align with France and Bavaria instead. The other question in my mind is whether Bavaria and Westphalia should retain their alliance with Austria as well (since they were still Holy Roman Electorates and owed at least little nominal allegience to the Hapsburgs).
Other changes I am thinking of making:
Prussia and Austria Allied and normalized slightly (Prussia owed Austria for letting the Prussian elector delcare himself king, and sided with Austria against France in 1703)
Hannover and Austria Allied (Hannover joined the war against France in 1703)
Prussia vs. Poland-Lithuania and Saxony normalized (Prussia sided briefly with Poland against Sweden)
Austria and Poland-Lithuania normalized slightly (Austria was not involved against Poland at all during the first few decades of the 18th century.
Iroquois normalized slightly vs the Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain (to avoid Iroqois always ending up in a war with 13 Colonies and Great Britain).
UP normalized against Spain and Westphalia (to reduce the chances of UP starting a war in Europe on the first couple of turns).
Other things I am considering:
Changing Saxony from a protectorate to an ally of Poland.
Improving Denmark's relations with Great Britain and Austria, and souring them against France (Denmark briefly entered the War of Spanish Succession on Austrian side).
