Change faction cheat

I am posting this question out of lack of energy for minor modding

I was wondering if there is a cheat that allows you to change sides during a campaign, and if so what it is and if it works?

If it does I may expand my horizons to unplayables like Romano British or Slavs, if not I will just stop being lazy and modify the playable factions

i have tried to use that cheat that is listed somewhere around the net unsuccesfully unfortunately in the past (iirc it was something like change_faction (Faction)). For some reason the cheat did not work simply by typing it from the prompt.

If anyone knows how to make it work i'd be very interested - taking the helm of a faction i was previously beating up and trying to survive would make for fun campaigns.

Which I can't get to work in 1.5

I thought that the EB people made the diplomacy one work? just post in their trough and see what they say...

many others indeed do not work.

iirc the force diplomacy thing is script-based, XGM also uses it.

Most of the cool cheats don't really work. =( Only stuff like process_cq or toggle_fow work.

Thank you all for the help, unfortunately the change faction cheat doesn't work, but fortunately I found EB 1 and it has revived Rome Total War for me.

Have fun Horatius, although be wary that for most, this "revival", lasted more than the original thing itself. Far more in fact ;)
