I may as well go paint my face black and cheer for that new hockey team called the "New Orleans n-word" or something. Some First Peoples may not find it insulting, but I personally do. It's much like the term "Indian." I don't find it offensive (I'm annoyed when it is used, but certainly not offended), whilst others do; it varies from person to person or community to community.
