In a hidden corner, a little fold on the cerebellum pulses. It speeds up, as the hour draws near. All thought process must pass through it. It knows how important this is.
Outside, Dr. Bill's body was slumped over his desk, unable to help his former patient still strapped into the machine. Dust was already settling on its fine machinery, and on William himself. He had a strange expression, as if he were truly straining to stay asleep. No doubt, his mind preferred the daily chaos of his life to the total upheaval that wreaked havoc on his fragile psyche for the preceding week. It had worked itself to ruin trying to rid him of the evil presence, and now lay in shambles, a mere 3 sectors still functional, eager to take the lead and eliminate the threats. Thank you! :D
I was the vote switcher, and I'm very curious as to what have happened if I'd claim it on the last day - decided it wasn't worth the risk.
EDIT: Gah, I'm too impatient to not ask questions - am I correct to think the ones who could talk in the thread after death were mafia? And what would have happened if I had claimed vote-changer?
