Default Warriors of the La Tene

Well the new EB PBM is finally starting to move. Sign ups are starting immediately. If you have any interest check it out in the throne room.

For those who don't know what this is. Basically its a multiplayer campaign played over forums, each player takes his turn with the save and does his moves and fights his generals battles. Each player controls 1 single general, in the forum we have court discussions and votes in the Kings assembly. Civil wars and lots of battles and action and events are this PBM's focus, so for those of you whove tried PBM's and find them tedious or boring, check ours out, this one was designed from the ground up to be more action oriented.

Sign ups are held in the throne room. It can be found under WotB for now soon the thread will be called WoLT.

This is a Celtic PBM played as the Averni, each player belongs to a tribe, which may or may not be part of the Averni Confederation. Your tribe pulls in its own income and pays a tribute to the confederation. Tribal incomes pay for the tribal army, and your Successes as a commander will lead you to have your own personal guard of champions and eventually your very own personal army. Personal armies will inevitably lead to chaos and civil war.

CelticPunk this sounds very interesting... one question though... how much time would i need to consume per week in this roleplaying thing ??? If it's around 2-3 hours per week i could perhaps squeeze it between my ongoing Baktria,Casse,Pahlava and Koinon campaign...
Ongoing Campaigns: Baktria, Casse, Koinon Hellenon, Pahlava.

    Abandoned/Failed Campaigns: Aedui-Epeiros-Pontos-Saba-Saka Rauka-Sauromatae. (I'll be back though!)

Well, 3 hours per week is about 26 minutes per day. That would certainly be enough to play, but perhaps not for the more time consuming positions. I'd say try it - the game needs "low levels" anyway, and who knows: you might find yourself inadvertently putting in more hours than you planned to.

For lazy people, the direct link to the sign up thread is here.

IIRC, La Tene is an era of celtic civilization. Don't really know a whole lot about it unfortunately. -M

La Tene was a town in Central Europe (modern day switzerland) the era of celts in EB is the La Tene period, the highpoint of celtic power and influence. saying The La Tene doesnt infer a double (the the) its 2 different languages. AND "La Tene" is the name of the era itself.

I'll put a link on the OP.

And the short form is WoLT not WotLT, regardless, it is Warriors of the insert era

so it could work as Warriors of the Middle Ages, or Warriors of the 3rd Dynasty, or Warriors of the La Tene
