    Default elephants everywhere

although not much of an elephant myself i do enjoy slaughtering the beasties and i do kind of guess they would be in EBII so i'd like to know what species would be in and would there be different models/textures for those as well as stat differences?

as in besides indian and african forest elephants that can be confirmed in ancient warfare will the bush elephant be in as well?

Pretty sure he meant not much of an elephant fan or user.

Damn, that made me laugh really hard, but there are probably only Asian and African elephant species in. That if they haven't found some elusive mammoths of something, which were almost alive during the time. Just couple of thousand years..

African yes, but there are actually 2 of those, African Bush Elephants (the bigger) and African Forest Elephants (the smaller). the forest elephants are speculated to be related in size to the elephants that were hunted and used by the carthaginians and ptolemaids (besides the imported indian variaty) the North African Elephant. there are some speculations that the bush elephants were used on ocasion (or attempts were made), but it is only a speculation, so i'd like to know if EBII team plans on icluding them too. after all, the more the merrier ;)

As far as I know, the southern, larger african elephants where never successfully tamed.

Read the unit descriptions in EB. There is evidence against your statement

I wouldn't be surprised if our sources don't make the distinction between elephant species, leaving us to guess.

i found them in the unit roster, and they do make sense, beign without training and with roughly half the morale og the indian variaty. i am still to encounter them in battle, but on paper, i like how the team made them :)

Uhhhh, maybe the Ptolemies can have those big hairy elephants that helped them build the pyramids. Just like they did on 10000 BC. Cause that movie was factual.

They are a bit tricky to use because of their utterly pathetic morale (4, which is lowest in EB), but very powerful. Make sure they never get stuck, especially when you're attacking a phalanx. They can deal our massive damage but a single casualty can make them run amok. Still, a very good asset for my Sab'yn armies,

Use them as extremely exspensive suicide bomber when your faction is damn rich

Seriously now, their morale is too low... i once fought the ptolies who throw them at my Kart-Hadast door, and they end up routing after my garmarantine infantry start to kick them hard
