It's not the children of an Augustus getting the name trait, it's random FMs.

I know I was answering skullheadhq's post where he wondered if the Augustus trait could be possibly inherited.

Sadly as far as i know any changes you make to the traits file will not show up until you start a new campaign so your best bet is to try to remove them manally with the give_trait command.

You could probably safely modify/eliminate the "trigger" for the Augustus trait, but that would only stop characters from getting it in the future, it would do nothing for the characters who already have it. You could also try modifying the trait text files in order to get rid of the "Avgvstvs" epithet, but that would do nothing to stop the spread of the trait itself. It would only be an aesthetic change to stop it from gobbling up their real name.

A simpler solution, for your AAR, anyway, would probably be to modify your screencaps to show their old name.

Yes I want to get rid of the Avgvstvs name changing thing. I don't care about the trait itself. Ith's confusing when you have 4 Augusti in one city, remembering who was who etc.

So how do I get rid of it?

Roman names is somewhat very confusing... I remember had Tiberivs Avrelivs Cotta who had son named Tiberivs Avrelivs Cotta and Tiberivs Avrelivs Cotta, but one of them turn into Gallicivs

I still don't have an answer that helps me. Soon I'll have more Augusti then regular FM. And that would ruin, more or less, my campaign.

Never mind, doesn't work. I ought to test my theories more often...
