In New York they have this weird thing where homeless people ride the subway, which really shows how much the homeless have evolved and how they are learning human ways. There is also an Ostrich working at the liquor store by my house.

*gasps* Commie!...and when you cut us, we bleed. Blood. Red blood. I know. weird.
Yeah, geography is lumped in with history often. If you believe National Geographic, around 53% of US HS graduates cannot find US on the world map (however, I read that in the 1991 - or was it 1992?) issue, so I have no idea how bad is it today... All I know, is that I went through all junior high (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) without ever having as much as a single geography course. And only one non-American history course. Ugh, enough of that.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
