There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
Welcome to our world, Southern Man. Welcome to our world.

In the grim future of North America there is only war.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
As Meth eloquently put it, the West Coast has it easy. We had about 2 cm of snow, lasting for 2 one-hundredths of a week before it all melted.
It rains a whole deal around these parts too. It's just too warm.

- Proud Horseman of the Presence
Had a blizzard yesterday:
25 cm (or 10 inches) with snow and and average windspeed of 13,5 m/s (or 30 mph) with gusts (is it called that?) up to 20m/s (45 mph). Considered bad weather but nothing extreme.
Feeling cold yet?
Edit:
Average about 5-6 months of snow cover (less this last decade though) and current temperature is -20C (-4F), still windy since yesterday and it's what expected to be the warmest temperature tomorrow. Coldest day this year was -32C (-25F) when warmest.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
