    Things I have noticed:
    All my pictures have gone
I can't edit the colour scheme on my profile
    Loads MUCH faster
    There's a new posts button!
    Social groups have gone haywire

But I'm sure that most of the problems will be ironed out. I guess this means I have to cough up now.

    Hello,

There are some things to sort, this will take time. Hopefully not weeks, months. But it will be days at least to get the basics back. Not quite true, as the very basic: posting is working. The profile generates errors, all plugins are disabled and the suite doesn't have the CMS enabled either.

Bots become pesky, more so than last week. I'm a little bit baffled that a new product doesn't stop them for at least a few weeks. I will need to look carefully into anti-bot measures. I tried to sign up for something only yesterday and the anti-bot measures prevented me for about 15 minutes to sign up: error, error, error, because I probably failed to read the random string properly. I needed it, so I persisted, otherwise I would leave again. I guess todays average bot has less trouble with it than I do It will take time to get a acceptable system.

We haven't any now, and bot content becomes explicit and malicious, so, I suspended registration for now. Not nice, but our current members and lurkers can at least enjoy these forums like they are supposed to be.

I'll probably need answers from Jelsoft to fix some errors, they seem afk now. I'll browse around and investigate myself, but there's no guarantee that I'll find answers/solutions today.

Some pictures may be missing, but that has to do with location and/or filesystems only I think. Nothing is deleted.

Well, one thing that bugs me a bit is when I'm in a forum view and don't click on the topic name but the little button to the left that is supposed to get me to the new posts, I usually still land at the first post and have to click the button in the upper right of it to get to the first new post.
I can live with it until you have the time to fix it, just thought it might help to mention it.

Why even have vBulletin in the first place? SMF is easy, free, and offers plenty of customization options.

Meh, I feel for you, but that is merely our natural resitance to change and conseravtism speaking. I got used to old .Org and I disliek this, but for no real reasons, as Simple Machines forum software is indeed better than vBulletin. Remember, your post may offend Tosa, and he is working as hard as he can, so he may not be as appreciative of such comments... Just saying, sometimes keeping quiet is a better bet...

It was a jarring transition, for I never use the default "Shades of Blue" scheme, for only the Finns could be proud of that combination.

But the new forum has stopped logging me out for no reason, and that would make up for anything, even if Tosa changed the colours to the one's on Meth's old profile.

    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

What the forum really needs is some love on getting a similar theme to the old default Org one, up and running.

I thought most people here don't care about graphics, just the gameplay. Gameplay of the forum is fine.

Hehe, nice one, but when you have so precious little graphics, any change to them really shows through and gets to the people.

There should be an edit favourite smiley box for everyone. It's activated in the AdminCP, but I can't find the option to actually edit it anywhere. The first who finds it.. will get a favourite smiley list?

We always had that. But there was apparently an option to enable/disable it, because I remember my AP account having it, but all the other ones still showed the BB code when I posted stuff, instead of applying the BB code straight on. Also, we always had the preview option.

EDIT: So Tosa, will we get our profile colour scheme back? You said nothing is deleted, so I suppose that includes our profile customisations, right?

Another thing I noticed is that choosing to hide certain forum sections from the index page (the "Console" section for example) no longer works. You set it to hide, but once you go back to the index page you have to do it all over again.

I may be wrong, but isn't the "settings" button at the top of the page the old CP?

I'm finding the new system to be much better than the old, but I'd still like the old skins back

Odd. It's working for me. There's a split second during the page load where the entire selection of forms shows up, then it collapses down to display the way I set it.

Same here. Latest firefox version. I managed to collapse them yesterday night but today they are here again. Also, no problem going to the latest post as reported by Husar.

    Hello,

The forumfilter is a custom plugin, not a standard vbul feature, so it doesn't work anymore.

This version does a few things differently, so while the data of profile layouts is still there it may or may not be working.

A few minutes ago there was a change to simple machines? I had the problem that I couldn't log in any more because of the ' character in my name. It works fine with vbulletin, though. R'as

Weird. I'm also using firefox, version 3.5.7, and am experiencing the total opposite. Forum collapse works, last post does not work at all. I don't even get the visual indicator on a post to say that it's new. The only way I can locate new posts is by checking the date stamp (today, yesterday, DD/MM/10) above the avatar.

Might be useful to TosaInu if others with firefox posted their versions and whether these two functions work for them?
