Where are the Marines?

I have not gotten around to getting the Elite Units of the Americas yet. I have been playing my way very slowly through the factions since 1.5 and I had thought to give the US another go.

I noticed that some of the new units showed up on the tech tree but I didn't see the US Marines which I should already have showing up anyway.

Now I thought this was odd because I played before in 1.5 as the US, when I got done with War Path.

Also it could be my imagination but it seemed that several things had changed. There seemed to be more starting techs and a few small difference...

But anyway there are no US Marines! With the top level barracks and all. The Legion of the United States is there but no Marines.

Was it one of the small patches or are they some how now tied to the new DLC?

What has happened to the US Marines?

I thought I checked it but I must have overlooked it.
