Default Corresponding EB to RTW vanilla factions?

    Hi there,
Can someone give me a list of the EB factions that correspond to the original RTW factions?

ie. Kart Hadarst/Carthage = vanilla Egypt

I think there was an old topic like this but I can't find it with the search engine.

    thanks

You can look forward to AtB factions making somewhat more sense. E.g. ptollies = egypt, grey death = seleucid, maurya/pandya = brutii/scipii (for some reason sathavahana is britannia)

I've never understood that. Why is Kart'hadast egypt and not carthage? Why is pontus not pontus? I would think it would make sense from a modding standpoint to have then as easily recognisable as possible, especially if you have multiple people working part-time on the project, rather than one person who could make it whatever and just memorise it. Anyone care to explain why this was done the way it is?
    Completed Campaigns:

AFAIK it was impossible to change a faction's culture in R:TW 1.0-1.2. You could rename the culture, but you will still have the same number of faction slots in this culture. This meant that Carthage was the only Semitic culture faction (the Saba had not been included at this point), and there was one Semitic faction slot (Numidia) that could not be used. Instead, the team decided to juggle round the factions, so Carthage ended in a faction slot that shared its culture with noone, and the Semitic slots went to Egypt and Pontus. After the 1.3/1.5 patches it was possible to change the culture of a faction slot, but by then so many files had been altered to fit the new distribution that the team decided it wasn't worth it to put everything back.
