    Question CTD when I capture a town on the AI's turn

    I'm seeing consistent CTDs when this happens:
    1) I besiege a town
    2) Another enemy army comes up and attacks me, bringing out the garrison as reinforcements
    3) I wipe out the reinforcements, and so capture the town on the AI's turn
    4) CTD as soon as I choose an option from occupy/expel/enslave

    One workaround is to let enough of the enemy live that they make it back to town - but if there's a more permanent fix I'd love to hear it. Took a quick look at the FAQ but didn't see this mentioned.

    Playing EB 1.2 with BI.exe, and I chose to apply the 1.2 fixes when using the EB-BI installer. Currently playing a Pontos campaign, but I think this has happened in other campaigns as well. Certainly at least three times so far, to the point where I see the victory screen and go "oh #!@%^, too few survivors, the damn thing's gonna crash..."

    Edit: never mind, found the "don't save before a battle!" advice in the FAQ. I'll try that and see if it helps. My current practice is to save the game at the start of every turn, and then quicksave before every battle, just to avoid time lost to CTDs, but if it's provoking them, grrr...
