Do you want muscle, or do you want to feel fit -- energetic, healthy? If the former don't listen to me; I don't have much of that either.

If the latter all it takes is a bit more sleep (4-5 hours is cutting it fine, but 6-7 should be enough/plenty if you are used to it: assumed you are somewhere in your 20s-50s). What is important then is that you get the sleep on a fairly consistent basis, though. Things like not using a car or public transport to get around, but rather use the bicycle or walk instead will provide with much of the rest: you don't need workout, you need fresh air and a bit of muscle activity. Then it is just a matter of eating reasonably healthy, i.e. not just Mac Donalds type food (fry up) but fresh vegetables and fruit, fish, and above all not too much.

Nonono, don't stop doing pushups. I do pushups every day, and it's a great supplement to heavier training that doesn't require any equipment whatsoever.

One more thing many of you consider "fit" simply to be the ability to run medium distances in a pre set time. That's all great but whats the end game there? When did that become fit? That naval program is pretty much peanuts and it should be something everyone should be able to do...
Its simply a beginning routine. I call you on bull there. most people cannot run two miles at a 6.5 minute pace. Most people cannot run 2 miles at seven minutes.

He doesnt want muscles he wants to be fit big difference.

I'm confused. What does "6.5 minute pace" mean, exactly?

Running 2 miles in 7.5 minutes. I find it hard to believe that literally “everybody” does that like it is a walk in the park. It is not exactly the summum of human physical achievement but you got to remember that 2miles @ 7.5minutes translates to 4 miles @ 15 minutes to 16 miles @ hour ~ a sustained speed of 24km/h. Sounds like normal cycling speed to me, i.e. not all that easy to keep up with on foot for long.

The OP needs to go find a good gym and a good coach. The TWorg Frontroom does not qualify. :) I don't know if you've got one in your area, but finding a Crossfit gym would do wonders.

running two miles in 6.5 minutes.

uhhhh your norwegian right sooooo our miles are like your kilometers which are a tad shorter than a mile i really dont wanna do the conversions but say 2.5 kilometers in 13 minutes aka 6.5 minutes per mile pace.

not that hard for someone in good shape but not exactly peanuts....

It's really bad for your wrists and your back if you haven't done any lifting before, most people do it wrong and push a hollow back, better to go to the gym.
