Running 2 miles in 7.5 minutes. I find it hard to believe that literally “everybody” does that like it is a walk in the park. It is not exactly the summum of human physical achievement but you got to remember that 2miles @ 7.5minutes translates to 4 miles @ 15 minutes to 16 miles @ hour ~ a sustained speed of 24km/h. Sounds like normal cycling speed to me, i.e. not all that easy to keep up with on foot for long.

The OP needs to go find a good gym and a good coach. The TWorg Frontroom does not qualify. :) I don't know if you've got one in your area, but finding a Crossfit gym would do wonders.

running two miles in 6.5 minutes.

uhhhh your norwegian right sooooo our miles are like your kilometers which are a tad shorter than a mile i really dont wanna do the conversions but say 2.5 kilometers in 13 minutes aka 6.5 minutes per mile pace.

not that hard for someone in good shape but not exactly peanuts....

A mile is 1609m if I'm not mistaken, so if anyone is running 2 miles in 7 minutes, I'd go look up your local athletics association and start breaking some world records...

Even running at a mile per 7 minutes pace is pretty quick (3.2km in 14 minutes) and not something your average person could do without some training. If you are new to running I certainly wouldn't try to run every single day as that is a surefire way to start picking up niggling injuries (or if you're unlucky some serious ligament/tendon damage). Start off by jogging for about 20 mins 2-3 times a week and build up the amount of time so after 2-3 weeks you are running for about 40 minutes at a time.

If you do start running Rhyfelwyr, get some running shoes fitted at a proper running shop not just your generic sports store, or you'll probably suffer from blisters, etc and store up longer term injury problems for later in life. Alternatively swimming a few times a week is a great, low-impact form of exercise if you want to just get generally healthier and I'd be surprised if your uni didn't have a pool. As others have said, eating a balanced diet is always good too (I know how hard that can be when you're a student though ).

    Ah.....

I was wondering what supermen managed to run 3km(2 miles) in 6.5 minutes.... 13 is more doable. IIRC, I walked 3km in 16-17 minutes or something back in the army days(my legs are screwed from too much running, I can't run more than 1km now before I get an urge to saw them both off)....
Still maintain that crying on the pitch should warrant a 3 match ban
