It is to do with the persons character. Having extra-martial sex with a friend's wife is betraying both his wife and his friend and team-mate. In a game like football, it is all about teamwork as well, and the team falls apart if one of the members is screwing over the other team-mates. Then the fact he did it, himself, paints a picture of a man with no-sense of honour, loyality or self-restraint.

However, what is more disturbing about the news reports is the fact the papers blame it all on John Terry, and it is a classic case of sexism. It takes two people in tango in the bedroom, thus there is an under-reporting of the other squad member having a s-word for a wife. Also, who is to say the other squad-members wife wasn't the one who suggested the sexual acts? Why it is all on John Terry?

Agreed, but I don't think it's a case of sexism against us guys here. I bet the only reason they never really considered the woman's role is that they'd already written her off as some bimbo.
