Patch compatibility with Asia Pacific version?

Is there a specific patch for the Asia Pacific release or is the patch a generic one??

i am pretty sure it is generic although it says europe and USA version.

i am from australia and own a copy of the asia pac version.
The patch works fine for me so far.

also in the readme on the patch there is a reference to australian gamers contacting activision support in OZ for any problems or cd returns etc.

We had the patch localised so there *ought* to be a language-specific version. But if you're in Australia you probably got the English/American version of the game so the standard patch release is the one you want.

The box states it as the Asia/Pacific version.

I'll just wait and see if anyone has problems with the European/American version down here...

where would a fellow find the alternate localised versions of the patch?
the only one i've found so far is the Euro/US version.

It turns out, and this might be worth repeating elsewhere, that there is only one version of the patch, but it contains the English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish text. If you have e.g. the French version of Windows, then French will be the initial language selection when you install the patch.

The Asian builds are shipping "pre-patched", so there's no v1.1 patch for Thai, Korean, Japanese, or Simplified / Traditional Chinese; if you install one of those versions, you're installing v1.1 of the game.

Note that the patch name technically covers this situation, being called "us_euro". But it wasn't immediately clear to me, and it might not be clear to anyone else :)
