That's weird. One would think that the different races would know the others of their kin. Either Yaro made a big mistake or we have a person with the ability to switch people in the game.
Anyway, I support the pressure on TM, at least there is more to go on than W_E:D gut feeling, no offense.

So,
Vote: Thermal Mercury.

My gut feeling has never lead me wrong....

Parasite was just MADE to screw with your "gut feelings", so it doesn't count

You are no townie.
I´ll Vote: ThermalMercury until he replies to the accusations, it´s better than a randomvote. I can´t really work with gut instinct, facts are much better...

What makes you think that?

This post.
The round had already been decided. 5 votes and 4 votes, IIRC... yet he's voting for someone he knows won't get lynched. With a silly reason, to boot.

Alright, I see, forgot about that.
I still think the pressure should stay on TM for now though, let's see how he explains himself. But it can only help if there is some pressure on other people as well.

Interesting, I am part of a townie group that used codewords to recognise each other. I was working on the assumption there were other townie groups and was trying to flush somebody out. The fact you seem to be unaware of the use of codewords makes me wonder if you are scum.
Vote: Atpg
Like the dwarves, especially that drunken oaf who roleblocked me by singing outside my room last night. I don't have any night abilities and your serenade was a wasted effort. Any chance this dwarf has the courage to come out and back me?

That sounds plausible, actually. I assume there are others who could verify that.
unvote, vote: abstain while I rethink this.

You recieved a PM stating that you were roleblocked, then? A curious thing to be informed as such if you have no night abilties. You may not have night abilities, but you could have an ability that works during the day, no?
Also, I have been in contact with the Dwarf you are referring to and they are unlikely to claim in public. That's like running across the 38th Parallel spouting anti-Korean expletives; they'd just be begging to get killed.
For what it's worth, I don't think you're guilty JHT.

You got roleblocked? How many roleblockers are in this game, if we are to take Centurion1 seriously, that's at least two so far.
I echo the "don't reveal" sentiment. It's not worth it folks.
johnhughthom 14:17 03-02-2010
Actually that's all I wanted Secura, for the Dwarf to contact a third party, wouldn't want a townie role compromised. I have actually heard the dwarf may have been protecting me, I assumed it was a roleblock from the pm.
Askthepizzaguy 14:18 03-02-2010
I'd re-read that message. I have reason to believe the defender was defending someone else last night.
You were under their protection, yes.
Though the singing was an unfortunate by-product of having a stout Dwarf guard you; I hope you sleep more soundly in the future.
I'll also add that I, too, haven't heard anything about secret codes and such. Quite baffled by that notion, personally. :3

The dwarf was singing outside my room and checking on me every so often so it must have been a protection on me. Any idea why Secura, I would have thought the dwarves would have been protecting themselves?
(For the person in this game who tried to PM me, my PM box is now clear.)
Askthepizzaguy 14:25 03-02-2010
Then it would seem we have at least a pair of defenders.
What gives you the idea that Dwarves would only protect themselves?
The game doesn't need to be based upon race or creed; we're all working together to fight these demons.
And by sword, axe or bow, we'll get them too. :3
We will stop these evils, and I shall do everything in my power to find and expose the evil one!
You have my word.
Askthepizzaguy 14:37 03-02-2010
john, usually in CDF's games when someone is roleblocked, whether they were trying to murder or commit an action or not, there's a paragraph or so of story stating that. I don't expect it would happen in a defender's case, though... it sort of ruins the whole point. He's not done that before.
I think you were defended.
You was meant to reply "and my bow."
AND MAH AXE!
That better for you, Beskie? :P

You're one of the people I have no information on, and there is plenty of pressure on Thermal already.

The host left out the paragraph where Balthazar chokes the living bejesus out of Orion for complete lack of familiarity with the concept of code words.

Perhaps he should branch out more.

Yeah I saw that coming when I was writing about the pressure being applied.

Well anyway, you seem to know an awful lot about all the people in the game then?!

Why so concerned for what other people think of you later? And why ingratiate yourself with Secura without changing your vote accordingly?
Hmm, convenient that your here to stir up trouble as soon as the night ends, very cunning of you, Renata.
It is also convenient that you only quoted the last paragraph of my reply to Secura, which didn't include your scummy vote:

As for not changing my vote, I didn't see any better candidates, no specifics made me think you were innocent and as so still happy to keep my vote onto you. What I do notice Renata is that you commit OMGUS styled votes at each point possible in this game which seems only to be a vendetta, because I voted for you last round, which overrides any decent reasoning you would otherwise of had (not that it took anyone here long to follow in your footsteps).
vote: joooray
FoS: Khazzar
Mindless swaying with the first piece of weak reasoning in sight, starting a bandwagon. (3rd vote is a bandwagon) at least Secura thought her vote out more.

When Orwell wrote
Nineteen Eighty-Four, he was actually prophesising the coming of an omnipotent young gentleman who would be eponymously named "Pizza Guy".
Go figure. :P
