    Default Siege battles

I have troubles with my siege battles.
I was playing as the Makedon and sieged athens in the first turn and next turn I assaulted. Now everything was going well until Koinon Hellonon units started moving their troops onto the plaza.... and captured it. So I got a close defeat cos the Koinon Hellenon captured their own settlement. Anyone experienced the same thing? :P

Now I would like to change some things too. About the siege towers spamming missiles and the Stone towers being able to shoot inwards. But I don't know how cos I'm a technoob

Is that error reproduce-able? Or was it just one time?

The stone towers shooting direction cannot be changed IIRC, just the placement, but this alone is hard work...

The siege-towers thing was discussed before, I would search the forum (especially the mod-subforum) for that topic, I can't give you a link.
Before changing anything, be sure to make a backup!

Were you outside of the city when the battle ended? Did you have any ladders, rams, or seige towers left? If you were outside of the city and had no way of getting into the city, then the battle ends, so that may have been it.

Nope I had 1 siege tower (the other one burned to the ground) at the wall and captured the gates with my galatian swordsmen and 2 hoplitai haploi (?). Then I moved in my 2 phalangitai deuteroi plus some hippeis and my generals bodygaurd. Moved my akontistai and slingers up the walls. All my units were inside (or up a wall) and I had already obliterated 4 units of the enemy.

Edit: I can't find any topic about the Siege towers.

That thread explains how to make them stop shooting all together. I don't think you can change their direction. Just send a unit around the walls of a city to capture all of the towers, or at least the ones your guys will be running by on the ground.

That thread is for the stone towers, I mean the siege towers.
It's not that I find it annoying that those stonetowers kill me but the enemy (so if I siege one of their cities). The AI doesn't move them and just let them die, and that just feels wrong :P

Oh, I misread. If you wanted your seige towers to stop killing enemies, couldn't you just turn them off fire at will? Doesn't that make them stop shooting?
