Someone died and they need a replacement pronto. I volunteered 8 days ago. Today I cleared. Friday the 5th I start mobilization. March 21 Camp Aderbury. March 24 in beautiful downtown Gardez City, Afghanistan. 6-12 month assignment. No drinking, no strip clubs. God help me.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

I remember many years ago before 9/11 one of the original org members, IRONLUNG, took off to join the USMC and was at the FBI academy training when all this stuff started.
