You may want to check the EB-FAQ to get accustomed to game-play.

See this guide on how-to installing EB.

The short version is:
install RTW (not in Program Files)
patch to 1.5
install EB 1.1 in the RTW folder
install EB 1.2 in the RTW folder
apply the fixes to the places they belong
start EB

The mod itself takes very long to load, depending on you system up to 15 minutes, so if it does not do anything in the first five minutes, don't worry.
